About this mod

A variety of skins to choose from for player-owned mounts, and saddles. Plus a reskin of NPC-owned mounts.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
First things first, I'd like to give a BIG shout out to aedenthorn, because without their utility mods it would be impossible for me to create these texture packs which I so enjoy putting together!

Speaking of, the mod Custom Textures is a hard requirement for this. The installation requires a few extra steps to get these textures to show up in-game, but it's really not that bad, and I'll do my best to walk you all through it...

Installation:
The first step is to install THE LATEST VERSION of Custom Textures with Unity Mod Manager, once you've done that you'll need to locate the folder called "assets" so if you're playing on steam, the path is: Steam\SteamApps\Common\My time at Portia\Mods\Custom Textures\assets

This is the folder where all modded textures need to go, so your next step is to decide what color you'd like your horse to be in My Time at Portia, let's say you want the Gray option... open the folder labeled Gray, and inside there will be a PNG file called Horse_NAME, copy and paste it into the assets folder.

The final step, and the way to get this to work, is to replace the NAME section of the file name with whatever you named your horse in the save file you want this to affect. (You can change your horse's name by interacting with the stable, if you didn't already know) my horse is called Ember, so that means I need the file Horse_NAME to instead read, Horse_Ember. Right click on the file and hit "rename" to change it to whatever you need it to be.

Notes:

The saddle files work in the exact same way, just switch the word NAME with Bob, or whatever you named your mount.

You can absolutely have multiple textures installed for multiple mounts, if for some reason you own two or three different horses in the same save file. Just give the files the correct different names for each mount and have yourself an equine rainbow.

Be advised, if you give the PNGs names and then change your horse's name after you load a save, you'll have to tell it to "return" to the stable, and then walk into your house and back out again for the new texture to take effect.

Bonus file:

The "Unique Civil Corps Mounts" file requires nothing from you, just copy and paste everything into the assets folder and leave the names alone. If you want the color changes, but not the custom saddles, just delete the files labeled Saddle_Arrow, Saddle_Teddy, and Saddle_Spacer, or vise versa if you only want the saddles, but prefer the vanilla horse skins.

Requests:

I may update the mod with a few new skins later, but I don't have too many designs in mind that I've just got to make happen. If you have a specific need/want for a horse in-game however, leave a comment describing it or link me to an image. The current global situation has freed up my work hours, so I have allllll the time in the world to take requests and answer questions.

Hope you all enjoy!
