Make sure to restore normal game assets first if you used texture import tools (by verifying game files on steam)
Yes it works with current .dds texture packs available on nexus, that are meant for texture import tools
You can dump any current texture pack into new folder inside \Mods\Assets\TexturePackLoader\ this mod wil sort through this files to create correct texture pack that can be selected in Mod Settings. (don't worry about sorting .dds files manually)
No it doesn't replace any game files (it works in runtime)

Piece of cake to swap the house and garage textures but ones for the car just won't take. Trying to use the rust free suspension textures and even tried using UAE and they didn't stick. Have used UAE several times successfully too.
When I create a texturepack, do I have to put all the textures I extracted from the assets into it, or is it enough if I only put the edited ones into it?
Hi, I just want to ask, is there any way to make this mod work with textures in a similar way that Vehicle Texture Swap mod does? I.e have separate folders for each vehicle, separating the texture files but still working correctly.
The reason I ask is because the console tells me those 2 mods are incompatible (although they seem to be working together so far), and I kinda want to eliminate Vehicle Texture Swap from my modlist.
But then files like ATLAS_MOTORPARTS.tex and windows_pbr_rain.tex will apply to ALL vehicles that share that texture name. I know because I've already tried it with windows_pbr_rain.tex. Is there no way to separate them?
Also, one more thing: When changing texture packs while the game is loaded, it is able to successfully change once, and then it stops being able to change. I dont know why. The console tells me that it's loading things "from cache". Not sure what's going on there or even if it is supposed to work that way.
This mod has issues loading images in DDS format, I have made a bug report, but to help others in the mean time;
If you are having problems with textures showing up warped, inverted, or black:
Convert all files ending in .dds to .png files.
Confirm .png files now exist in the folder, and thumbnails are visible
Delete all .dds files, leaving you with only .png
Start the game and test the texture pack
Be sure to show piotrulos some love for his excellent work
If you are still having issues after converting files, it is most likely an issue with the pack in question. I have had success converting multiple existing packs, including New House and Scenery Textures which everyone seems to be having issues with.
did everything exactly as you said with that exact texture pack yet it still doesn't work? maybe upload a YouTube video showing exactly how you did it step by step?
@furrydriftking i just extracted the Texture2D's using AssetStudio, edited them and put them in my resource pack as .png's. (Mods/Assets/TexturePackLoader/resourcepack/name.PNG) NOTE: Texture names MUST match of those in-game (i tried to replace death screen, threw "doesn't mach name" warning)
maybe its obvious but how do i open the mod's settings? all i see is just the information icon, no gear icon like in other mods i have edit: restarted the game and it fixed itself
What a wonderful mod, it worked really well with my Brazilian texture pack in dds format, I just had to invert the texture by 180 degrees and then rotate it, I did everything using paint.net
