Because vanilla fuses sometimes are weird, read this:
Sometimes after you unscrew regular fuse and trying to attach new automatic fuse and "checkmark" doesn't show, it's because game thinks that regular fuse is still attached.
To fix this, just pick up and drop regular vanilla fuse that you unscrewed, and then checkmark for new fuse should show.
I wish there would be an option for the fuses to sometimes break, with a percentage chance of that happening configurable in modloader menu. Just a suggestion.
Yeah, it seems too easy for these circuit breakers to be a one-time purchase, and a cheap one at that, set and forget solution. Circuit breakers fail in real life, although it's rare to be fair. It's a cool mod though. Thanks mod maker guy!
I can install only 1 fuse in one place and only 20V fuse. I tried to reinstall mod and this not fixed the problem. I tried to delete metadata and this not fixed problem.
Make a breaker box. it would be cool if it was in this mod but could be standalone, and I suggest the cost to be 1500 to 2500, but that is your choice.
So if anyone is having trouble getting one socket to show a checkmark when using the automatic fuses, maybe this helps: I couldn't get the fridge socket to work. I tried putting normal ones in, taking them out, picking up every fuse socket and repeatedly dropping it - nothing worked.
Finally I unscrewed every socket, picked up all the normal fuse sockets and threw them (RMB) one at a time down the hallway. Went to retrieve them, and could only find 6. After looking around, I located the 7th floating in the air where it had passed through the wall into the Kitchen. Some weird lack-of-collision-model bug that only presented when the socket was thrown - NOT dropped. No idea why, but I'm assuming that socket was the issue. Immediately after I retrieved and dropped it onto the counter, I could put an auto fuse in the fridge socket.
TL/DR - So maybe try throwing the sockets instead of just dropping them if you encounter the checkmark bug.
It's a shame that it no longer uses an xml file to save the fuse table data. I could edit the xml when in game it wouldn't let me install any circuit breaker in certain slots, even after trying the suggested glitch fix. :/
You are an absolute legend Because of how many mods I have and previous use of MSCE my fuses broke and I couldn't replace them in any way possible and now at last I can finally see at night and not die of thirst
