About this mod
Shieldwall Song (previously named Armor Mod) is a total conversion mod for Viking Conquest that merges new gameplay mechanics such as freelancer, alongside new armors, visuals, settlements scenes, and animations having also integrated most of the addons made by the community such as Balmod 13, expanding the roleplay experience in countless ways.

Gameplay Enhancements:
Introduction of Freelancer mode with sea battles.
Added the ability to return fiefs.
Visual and Auditory Upgrades:
New scenes for castles and villages in Frisia, Danmark, Northvegr, Wessex and Laithlind.
Reworked Polished Landscapes with new grass meshes.
Map inclination, textures, and icon meshes underwent significant reworking.
Addition of new loadscreens for an immersive experience.
Inclusion of new sounds and music for enhanced ambiance.
Reworked war scripts and adjusted faction ownership of some fiefs.
Introduction of new particles and animations.
Weapon and Armor Overhauls:
Revamped axes, spears, and throwing weapons.
Shortened the length of Irish swords for balanced combat.
Redesigned spangelhelms and broa helmet.
Added leather and mail coifs, new normal mail, and leather meshes with a fresh texture.
Introduction of one short and two Angle tunics.
New belt variations for 6 Angle Chainmails.
Added 1 short and 5 Britons tunic variations for light armor.
Inclusion of 1 aketon chainmail variation.
Addition of scales for Briton nobles.
Introduced 1 short and 5 new Frisian tunics.
Added 4 generic chainmail sets for variation.
Inclusion of 3 new gambeson models.
Crossed belts for the Svear Mail.
Added 8 new bandit armor sets.
Reworked generic tunics.
Added 4 chustas and 4 kilts for Picts and Irish armors.
Four short Norse tunics added.
Distinct necklines introduced for 4 Norse tunics.
Reworked pelts for light armors.
New pictish hood, 3 painted bodies, and a whole set of optimized gambesons.
Changed the helmet mail texture
Combat Adjustments:
Chance to capture a ship decreased from 99% to 60%.
Players and NPCs now have a 10% chance of decapitation when killing an enemy (previously 0%)
