About this mod
Makes the shield shattering mechanic matter. Configurable: damage to shields, damage to shields from missiles, bonus vs shields effect. Also adds the option of making javelins excel against shields.

Ever wondered why the shield shattering mechanic was present in game yet it never happens in battle? Made it to late game without ever having to invest in a better shield? Never had the glorious feeling of crushing your opponents shields to splinters? This mod is for you.
The way this mod works:
You will find a configurable XML inside that contains three values:
- Shield damage factor: This is the global multiplier for damage done to shields (Native : 1.0) (Recommended: 3.0)
- Shield bonus multiplier: The multiplier for the "bonus vs shields" attribute that some weapons such as axes have (Native: 2.0)
- Shield arrow damage multiplier: Multiplies the damage that missiles make to shields (Native 1.0) (Recommended: 0.25) This applies only to missiles that do not have the bonus vs shields attribute.
Note: All shield damage is multiplied by the shield damage factor, so if you want normal arrow damage to shields, yet 3x damage from any other source, you'd set the damage factor to 3 and the arrow multiplier to 0.25
When making this mod I was thinking of also giving javelins a shield breaking role. So I've included a separate file for giving the bonus vs shields attribute to all javelins (which will make them immune to the "shield arrow damage multiplier").

Tip: Blocking with your shield in the correct direction reduces damage by half. Shield perks are now worth investing in. Those boring tournament 1 on 1's where you endlessly bash on shields are a thing of the past!
Should be compatible with most mods. I highly recommend Kipsta's health re-balance to use with this. Remember to back up your save and let me know of any issues.
