    Hey there, great mod. I was lobbying for this from TW, so thank you very much for putting it into the game. 

    It is a bit of a hike to get things from town sometimes, but I guess that is just a limitation of the base game. Just wish there was a way to ride your horse in town and save time. Still, I feel that it makes the game more immersive. You can't just spam rest/smith now, it is a chore, which is good because the smithing should have been a lot more involved than clicking. 

    If someone ever makes a mod where smithing each item makes time pass a few hours and shows an animation, that will massively improve the game. I think that is what they were going for with the fatigue meter. It is the only way it really makes sense - like you haven't slept for two days because you're spamming harpoons, you need rest type of thing.

    Anyway, thanks for your contribution. 

    Maybe one day GameDevs will finish their own games - until then I'm so glad we have people like you.

      Well there is a mod for that. Should probably link it in the description.

      I have a few plans to SLOWLY introduce the menus back plus some other paid options for faster travel in the future, as the character and clan gets more powerful.

    If I understand well we can do this things in cities/villages? (to know before testing more deep and reconize bugs or mod incompatibilities):

    New stuffs->
    - Recruit men with notables for villages and with gang chief for town (each notables/gang chief has their troops like in map menu)
    - Trade armor only with armor trader, food with food trader etc
    - By horses etc via horses trader
    - Prison dialog possibilities directly with prison guard
    - Collect tax from village in the village scene (and maybe other quest)

     
    -> these possibilities are removed from map menu (I love that).
    Not be able to directly speak to npc via menu without going to city.
    And maybe removed all short cut like going directly in tavern but instead always start at the entrance of cities. With the mod to have our horse in city is perfect.

    Be able to ask a room in tavern to make time passed will be amazing!

    If all of this is inside the mod, that's THE perfect mod for me that i wait for years ;)

      Yes, please re-read the description. Currently everything should be entirely doable, even prison breaks (haven't tested myself, but base-game contains code for prison break dialogs).

      Recruitment is unchanged. Currently I can't decide how to change this.

      Trading works for all categories with any trader in towns.

      No idea about taxes, should be left same as vanilla. I only removed specific menus.

      Ok I was not sure.

      Indeed, for now only trade, forge, Arena and tavern are removed from map city menu. And villages untouched.
      Mods seems to be compatible (like hot butter, yes I use it for other mods ahah) cuz when I leave the tavern the "old" menu shows up with all options. Same with Arena and mod TournementofChampion.

      For recuiting, do like Warband did (what I said above), it seems to be the most complete solution ;)

      If we need to go the the edge of the map to leave it can be so good too (not be able to TAb leaving).

      Cannot wait for rectuiment and village etc done ahah (maybe trade type by trader too)

      Yeah using the tab to leave might be disabled as an optional hardcore feature. Regarding recruits - BL is different in that regard. Each notable has its own pool in a settlement, not the settlement as a whole.

      Yes. If you succed it can be even better than Warband because of Bannerlord more complete pool etc

    OMG I was looking for this since 1.0!
    It was more like your mod in Warband, menu + dialogs in scenes = same result.

    Can we recruit men in towns too?

      Is it possible to make a version with menu actions still available, in case of bugs and/or for compatibility with many mods to have everything working at any case?

      Your mod change a lot the immersion !!

      Yeah I have plans for that too. For villages the idea would be that the village elder is responsible for both trading and organizing people. But i'm thinking taking the menu away might be too obtrusive. Maybe I will leave the menu but make it more expensive to use.

      When I feel I have added everything i might add an in game or text config to manage what is disable what is not. Please report any incompatibilities or issues you find for now.

    Thanks, the right mod! I always tried to walk around the settlements. But the man is weak... ))
    It would be nice to add attempted robberies of the player, as in Warband.

    I was surprised how something as simple as this could add so much to a run. I'm actually entering towns and assorted fiefs and seeing people. Great stuff, and I'm looking forward to see where it goes!

    Some thoughts:

    Can there be some delay before a sparring match starts? Often I'm already getting smacked before I can even draw my weapon. I also see that I get some healing after a match, but it's not always 100%. Is that intentional?

    This mod makes it difficult to donate troops to a fief. I can't go to the keep directly (which I like in this mod, I have to go there). I have to enter the keep, then Tab out to get to the Keep menu, where I can go to the dungeon/donate prisoners, etc.. Could an NPC be added that allows access to this menu? Or some other workaround that allows access to the keep menu without having to do all the extra steps.

    I also cannot do prison breaks. Infiltrating a town has the keep and dungeon locked out.

      Thanks for the feedback, yes, these things are next on my to-do list.

      Regarding sparring matches - I really am not sure what you mean. You mean practice fights in arena? Otherwise I think you are referring to the adventure mod.

      But yeah to things affected by the mod - for sure that workaround is not ideal, but that is now the only way to do it. I can't decide yet what would be simpler, an NPC or manipulate the menus further. In the spirit of the mod probably the NPC route would be more appropriate, but adding back the menus on certain condition might be less painful to implement.

      Same goes for prison breaks... but are you sure though, that you can't initiate a break by talking to a prison guard? Haven't tested this myself yet.

      My apologies - the duel thing is not this mod. I got confused by all my new immersion. :)

      For the prison break, I tried talking to the guard outside the dungeon, and I get a line of dialogue about him saying he can't help me (I'm disguised as a beggar), but nothing about a prison break. The door itself cannot be interacted with. The keep is also locked, so I cannot enter the keep and Tab out to access the keep menu and go to the dungeon from there.

      On the immersion side, I'd say adding an NPC is better to access menus. Someone that the player can use to donate troops and prisoners - like how the Ransom Broker pulls up the prisoner menu to sell for money. However, I'm also in favor of ease of access. Whatever works best for you.

      Works great! I like the removal of Trade from the menu. This mod has actually made me visit towns. I don't think I've done that...ever.

      As a little immersion point, is it possible to add a dialogue option to the Backsmith? Currently, you ask him to craft you something, but it's actually your character doing it. Maybe changing that option to be "May I use your forge?" or something to that effect.

    Love the idea! I haven’t tried your mod out, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

    Would it be an idea to allow menu access when you become a certain tier or king?

    one thing that would hold me back is the layout of some towns, it takes a lot of time to find places and then retrace your steps. A sprint key or horse would make this less painful.

    Many modern game development has gone crazy. They make great games with huge worlds and interesting quests and battles and then break it - adding teleports and auto-movement to not travel, auto-battles to not strain your reaction, and auto-quests to not think. Soon they will start adding a “End Game” button to the main menu. Glad to see that people fixes this in MnB.

    Amazing mod!! Could this somehow evolve into something like asking townsmen or guards for directions instead of relying on the UI?

      Hi thanks a lot! Yes that is something I am indeed willing to try and address - remove the x-ray vision in missions. A similar mechanic could be implemented for asking for directions to people - where is the tavern/arena/market etc, lords hall and so on.
