Hi, great work ithrian! But I have some issues with your mod:
1. I don't know why but names of the Sturgian troops are diffrent compared to your screenshots. I don't have for example "Northern Huskarl" but the native name. 2. Only a few soldiers looks like on your screens, most of them look... strange and ugly. Yes, I know that there is a few versions for every troop but "Nothern Huskarl" looks like a bad*ss on your screens. In my game he has the lammelar armor for veteran bowman (the native veteran bowman ofc). 3. Some of the high tier Sturgians infantry (I don't mind here the bersekers) don't have a shield or have two shields.
Am I doing something wrong or what? I really wanna play with this reskin but these issuse gave me a headache.
Almost sertainly a conflict with another mod. Either another tropp mod, or a mod who edits spnpccharacter.xml. It's been reportet that f.eks Banner Peasants create some wierd mixups. I use Bear my Banner. This will hopefully be better when i make this modular, wich i will start on when my kids give me more than 5min of not bashing my keyboard or screaming in my ear. But inntil then you have to disable other mods who might conflict.
I'll check later to be sure nothing wierd happend when i uploaded the file. But i doubt it, as i uploaded the last file i tested wothout any issues.

Haha cheers mate. The reason for the slow progress is the limited time i front of the pc each day with 2 toddlers running around, and i'm so extremly picky when it comes equipment/outfit combos. A modular will come together with the Khuzait overhaul :)
Seems like one of them will don't have a horse or there will be a unit with a horse and no equipment because of "</equipmentSet>" is just before horse slot.

I also noticed the Vlandian cavalry shields didn't get update in the latest versions as well. I dont have access to my pc, but hopefully the modular will be out tonight if i mange to do it right, and the equipment mistakes arr all straighten up.
Edit: actually that is how it supose to be, its the same on other cav troops. Had time for a Quick test and the worked as intended i game, everyone have horses when uppgrading.

Im finished with Khuzait mate, will be uploaded tonight. Khuzait i actually like most of base game the setup, and abit limited on armor variations so not huge changes.
I'm sure you done a hell of a job and seems we have similiar taste. But i would not upload other peoples hard work. And also i have edited so many units and items now that my eyes bleed, and if you put great ideas and combos in my head i would't be able to let it go :P. But thanks anyway!

Secondly, about the modularity of your mod.There is such work on the Nexus https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/288 It changes the same file as yours.You do not need to learn anything new.Just use the structure of this mod, insert your file, change the name, delete the excess and you're done.This is not piracy, it is a generally accepted structure.This mod is shown as an example, any other can be selected.I had a problem, your mod did not work in my game, because any mod using a modular structure that uses the spnpccharacters.xml file overwrites yours.For many users, this is a big problem.The transition to modularity will radically change the situation and add convenience to many ...These are just my thoughts, it’s your job and you decide how to act.Thanks again. Instead of having crossbows go to bows and then back for Vlandia, can't there be an initial starting ranged unit (like levi archers) that can be split into separate crossbow and longbow trees?
That have crossed my mind aswell and your right. I will give it a try on the next update. Aserai is just around the corner. I just have to check that it doesn't crash like when i tried the v. 1.3 troop tree. Without adding custom troops, there will only be 1 upgrade from Levy Longbow to Veteran Longbow, and 2 upgrades from Levy Longbow on the Crossbows. Thanks for the feedback.
Done! Tested and works fine. Levy Longbowman can now level up to either crossbowman or veteran longbowman. Crossbowman can level up to sharpshooters. This is the best i can do without adding custom troops.
Hopefully :). Alltho on southern troops i have fewer references unlike Northern, Western and Imperial troops wich i'm all too familiar with. So the personal taste may get abit off on what people actually want for desert troops. I'm not entirely blind tho, but it will take longer time to find good combos as i have fewer referances and i tend to get quite picky on details before i'm satisfied.
It works for me. Remember the hybrid version have both crossbows and longbows. Tier1 is crossbow, Tier2 and 3 is longbows and then tier4 is sharpshooter crossbowman. If you want Longbows only theres a optional file for that.
And if you download this before 1.3 update, you have to extract my mod back in the SandBoxCore/Moduledata again because the update has overwritten the spnpccharacter.xml.
Yes i know, but now my archers have crossbows equiped not bows, but have arrows and not bolts. Its just wird. Its just with the archers. The rest of the troops are ok. If i use the file with vlandian with crossbows its ok also... Well dont really know... I just love what you did with the look of the troops.
Looks like you have something overwriting, and most likely another troop mod. I just checked the file, they're equipped with longbows , also did a test ingame and the the correct units have longbows. If you used other troop mods before, and only deactivated them, try delete them fully. If you don't use any other troop mods maybe you have some ranged mod wich does some wierd stuff. I use Armor Does Something who nerf archers in the game and still works fine.
Yes i guess that i might have done something with unit files or something. I think it's because i used vortex to apply your mod and then i realized it dident work that way. I'l trie to find out. Thanks. And again it's just great your mod.
I just find out what it was. It was the BannerPeasents mod! It's not compatible with your mod. Removed it and everything works just fine. Activate it and messes with your mod.
Ah that sounds about right, i stayed away from that mod as i didnt know how much it modifies the spnpccharacter.xml. But dont' dispair my friend, if you still want banners on your troops, use Bear My Banner and it works fine :).

The mod works perfectly fine with 1.3. But i havent looked into what stat changes has been made, so the units have the e. 1.1.2 skills/stats.
If it was made changes to the weapon/items stats then this mod will use the new stats ofcourse, as ive done nothing to the spitem.xml
Edit: looks like the biggest change were to the shields and equipment on some Sturgian infantry. Most of my sturgian infantry allready got better equipment than the base game and also some skill buff, but ill check later if some additional buff is needed.
I love to unite the vlandia with the sturgia but I install another pack mode for the empire which crashes the game so I have only one solution is to choose between viking or vlandia it is a shame with a module for each faction would have been simpler I would just have to deactivate the empire and intaler the new mod pack but I must choose but try to see to make modules because your mod and exelent and I surkif the units and I find it shameful to have to choose just 1 faction (I love viking) but I will have to remove it because there is another interesting mod pack on their faction when you are the only one to have done a corect thing for vlandia
It sounds strange to me that another mod would crash with this one. If it's a module it should simply overwrite this one. Wich mod is it?
So if i understand you correctly, you would like a vlandia+sturgia only option? (i know everyone would prefer a module tho, but that i cant provide atm)
ok not knowing moder I can hardly find the mod that crash my game I uninstall several mod to superimpose new I put greek kingdom with spartan I quickly understood that its crashed my games but I also had your mod at that time and it seems to me that I have problems with spartan troupe but if you say that normally it should be superimposed it is that it may be with another mod which crash yesterday I managed to compensate for a new part and everything went well I resume my part and I crash every 2 min on games but it does not come from your mod which must make me crash so I try to find the solution to the problem and sorry for my bad english
No offence mate, and i know you said sorry :), but i have a hard time understanding you. This mod alone won't crash your game. This mod together with another troop module should't crash your game, alltho nothing can be said for sure in early access. But my mod will probably only be overwritten and thats it. It seems you use several mods and i believe something else cause your crash. If i understand you correctly, you installed both the Spartan troop mod and the Greek Kingdom. Both those edit the imperial troop tree and doesn't look compatible with eacother, but i don't know for sure. If it's not those two i can only suggest a general trouble shooting.
- Use a seperate launcher to get better load orders. I use Bannerlord Mod Launcher (I have 18 mods). But you also have Fixed Launcher and i believe Nexus now has provided it's own load order. This could be all you need. - Remove all mods, or atleast only keep the first few you knew worked before you started added anything else and is a must have - Add the troop mod you like the most and is a must to have. Then start add 1 by 1 and see who cause crashes.
