Do I need the game installed to use this? I have access to the sandboxcore file for modding purposes, but not the game itself.

No, it is not looking for exe. As long you have all required XML files, it should be ok.

Noted. I'm really dumb, so could you explain how I can view troops?

Just mimic Bannerlord folder structure, e.g.:
      in
      ...\Modules\folder1\ModuleData
      put
      spcultures.xml, spitems.xml, spnpccharacters.xml
      and in
      ...\Modules\folder2\ModuleData
      put
      crafting_pieces.xml
Then start program, point it to just created folders and select "folder1" from the list.

Mhm, it works. Does this work with modded files by any chance?

It reads whatever is in those files. So as long there is no cardinal errors in the syntax, it should just do it.

You need one more for crafting pieces (example path is displayed in the popup window; e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\Native)

Is there a way to add items through this? Kinda like Morgh's editor for warband?

Not yet. I need stats viewer first and this is what it is at the moment.

So since there's nothing in the description, how does this actually work? What are the steps to make it work?

Start program, specify two paths to folders by clicking ... buttons (paths examples will be showed in a new window), select Items or Crafting Pieces.

I am checking it only against the latest beta branch, which at the moment is e1.2.0
Make sure that you had set paths correctly.

Press button with three dots on its face, new window will pop up with example where required file may be located.

Nice. I hope you plan to include the item names in console/in-game and the mesh names too. Would make a great source for mods or to tweak mods then.

All information from spitems.xml is extracted, including item names, bodies and meshes (far right side of the table).

Would it be possible to add some filtering options like for example only showing items that have "imperial" in the name, or something like that. Preferably the ability to create custom filters using multiple tags. Would be handy for creating unit mods.

Yes, filters will be added later on as I want to cover basics first.

Haven't tested it with any, but if mod follows Bannerlord syntax, program should be able to read items even now.

Could be wrong but I think he meant for creating your own custom troops more easily, not editing items/troops other mods have already created.
