IF YOU ASK ME THESE QUESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS, I WILL NOT RESPOND.
Q: Will this mod be coming to Steam Workshop? A: No.
Q: Does this work for version x.y.z? A: I don't know. Try it out and see if it does. If it doesn't; I do not support versions that I don't personally play. You can pay me on my Patreon up to the 2nd tier (~10 USD) if you want me to compile for your version.
Q: Does this work with (insert other mod name here)? A: I don't know. Try it out and see if it does.
Q: I loaded up my game and everyone is a different race than they should be! What do I do? A: You might've messed with your load order. Keep the same load order for mods that add races. Putting one above another mid-playthrough will mess up the indexes/order of races, which will confuse the mod. For example, human is 0 and any race loaded after that will be 1, then 2, then 3, etc.
I want to change troops to a race without detailed character creation admittedly it works with detailed character creation, but I had to resort to using no clone's mod to do it so that way all my units won't look the same, however due to updates with both Detailed Character Creation and No more clone's mod these are not as compatible as they used to, so I wish to ask you about using a command on troop race or if there a way to use said command to change my troops race anyways. edit: Never mind actually resolved itself.
Don't work (crash) for me when i switch race for elf in edition charactere, and i had try use command console, with console command i can switch race for valyrian but not elf.
Thanks so much for mod, it is amazing you even made it with so few race mods and wish and hope all race mods learn to link to you.
1 small gripe the #|50 #|50 is a bit confusing, and I had to look into comments as to why it was not working for me since it would say the race name and not error or anything.
Not even sure why you would want mixed breed saved character ? like it's not a rpg where you get stat changes based on race or like irl where you get something like *insert beautiful famous person* appearance. Assume maybe its if you just really want to tailor the chance of child birth into being 1 the races with higher or lower % chance while keeping it a chance?
I was thinking the 50 was either a throw out number or max amount of custom races game could handle (not that I think this game's slow development will ever lead to having that many races created).
in your current version you mention a compatiblity with ROT. i assume the mod "Realm of Thrones". it happens i wanted to play a giant here and wandered how i could manage to do it.
unfortunately when i use sensicalracefixes.debug_print_race_indexes, it only gives "0 - Human". But at least one NPC is not human (Wun Wun the giant) so the race seem to be hidden.
do you have any clue about that ?
thanks in advance for any hint and sorry if i misunderstood the ROT compatibility meaning
cheers
EDIT : the giant and other creatures are defined in monsters.xml of the mod. seems a NPC can have a race of a monster but not the player ? <Monster id="giant" action_set="as_giant_warrior" monster_usage="human" weight="80" hit_points="300" ...
i tried that but vanilla function simply craches and yours tells me that there's no race corresponding to that index. i should find a mod "play as monster" i guess ^^
Absolutely amazing thanks a ton for this! Not only does it persist on reloads, I can also play an elf in TOR mod now :)) (In the TOR mod, the additional race selector is not available and I couldn't figure out how to get it back, but using your console commands works)

sensicalracefixes.debug_change_hero_races YourHeroNameHereWithNoSpaces 0|50 1|50
This command will make YourHeroNameHereWithNoSpaces 50/50 of the races that have the index 0 and 1.
0 is always going to be human unless a mod is seriously messing with races.
To print the rest of the race indexes; use sensicalracefixes.debug_print_race_indexes
is there a way to fix it?

Thanks again for mod <3

You might be able to cheese it with the console commands by setting your race to index 1 even if debug_print_race_indexes doesn't list it.
I would save before you do that though, just in case, as I'm not sure what it may do.
