Added it as a separate file. You can easily make your own modifications if you just make changes in the game files themselves. Item descriptions are in Modules\SandboxCore\ModuleData\spitems.xml
If you just make changes for your own self, you don't even need to make it into a separate module format to take effect, it is enough to directly rewrite values in the vanilla game files. The only problem with this approach is, that game updates may overwrite the file along with your modifications.
Sorry to hear that, sadly I have no clue what to do about it. I've been using it without problems, along with many other mods. Maybe you downloaded it with Vortex and it doesn't handle it properly (I'm not using Vortex, so I don't know how it would work), or maybe you are using the latest Beta game version?
Would it be possible to just bundle in these changes instead of making a new download for each helm? I'm particularly anal about keeping my mod folders organized
I uploaded as different files, because some people may only want to get the full helm upgrade for immersion, also I think the Battanian T6 archers are using the crown, so it may affect unit balance.
Indeed. That's way too high considering it's an open-face helmet. Meanwhile, the Vlandian full helm, which is the heaviest and logically most protective in the game, has a value of 46.
Indeed, it was bugging me too that those closed vladian helmets give so mediocre protection. At this point I only chose the Crowned helmet to modifiy because it was a rare find at traders, and next to none was given after defeating nobles. Also, it is pretty much the same open-faced as the Imperial helmet, so it didn't seem extreme to have the same armor value.
But, for the sake of immersion I added a separate file which increases that full plate helmet's armor. Although if we stick to immersion, the pointy headed full plate helmet that the vladian champions use should provide more armor, as it should deflect vertical attacks, whereas the flat-top helmet absorbs them. It'd make sense if the cavalry wore the flat-top helmets, and the vladian infnatry wore the pointy ones, as infantry is more likely to get hit with a downward attack. But that would require to also modify the troop spawning equipment, and I'd really not meddle with that on purpose.

Hello. I really liked your mod. Could you create the same Sturgia Heavy Cavalry Helmet ? I tried it myself, but so far nothing works.
