DXVK is a library that has gained a lot of attention in recent years due to its innovative approach to translating graphics API calls. It uses Vulkan, the latest graphics API from the Khronos Group, to translate DirectX 11 and 12 calls. In this case, it can boost performance on certain hardware and reduce stuttering.
Manual installation:
- Place files into the Bannerlord directory "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\bin\Win64_Shipping_Client". Run the game normally.
NOTE:
- Due to the fact that the game does not support FSR, AMD cards will benefit the most.
- On Nvidia GPUs, DLSS doesn't work. I will solve this eventually. (By setting "Prefer layered on DXGI Swapchain" in Nvidia Control Panel, DLSS is enabled again)
-Online multi-player gamesManipulation of Direct3D libraries in multi-player games may be considered cheating and can get your account banned. Use it for Single player only to be safe.
Reshade:
- Install Reshade for Vulkan in order to make it work. Not DX11.
