Doesn't work with 1.1.0, removing the lines 19, 36, 53 and 70 in camel_armors.xml solved it for me (the line is causing issue as the flag definition has been closed before)
bro i just want to play your awesome troops mod but i need this mod to be able to activate it in the launcher. Why would I need this mod? Why now we depend on the author of this mod to update to be able to use yours? Yours should be an independent mod and not depend on another car updating or not
It's needed because there is no vanilla high tier armor for camels, and I didn't want the aserai to have just one other cav you can use this mod directly even if outdated, just install the patch in my mod's files as it fixes the crashes
You have made some excellent armours for the camels, really something that BL is missing!
Is there any chance the multiplayer mod cRPG could use them? There would be many people playing and loving the work you've put in, obviously with you credited fully. We would love to have these in the mod. To add anything we would need the source files from you. If you would give it any thought, that would be well appreciated.
Thanks a lot for this mod ! Do you know if it is possible to run it alongside "improved camel and aserai overhaul" ? I'd like to use all new camel units of these both mods.
Other questions : would the camel size changing mod be a problem with this mod to ?
Finally, where are the new armor/saddles to find in game ? Gotta find them randomly by merchants ?
I combined these two mods. Perhaps it remains only to balance the characteristics somewhat. If you are interested, here (I did the translation into Russian, but left the English names. You can translate as you want) https://disk.yandex.ru/d/zxOzPhdGOnFaew
Thanks for the mod. Looks fantastic. Till the advent of ridable elephants or dragons I use a huge armored camel from this mod as equivalent, body length 150.
is it possible to disable the hair tuffs on the camel for some of the armors? I know that ingame all the higher tier vanilla horse barding disable the horses mane.
Would you be willing to collaborate with the cRPG multiplayer mod? As one of the people that play on it as a cavalry main, we're dying for some camel armour like this! Awesome work and would love to see even more.
Actually historical was there no armor for camels besides fancy saddles. So it would make sense to add more HP to camels then horses to address the possible more resilient nature of camels?
Anyway this is not ment to lower your effort on creating those! Great job btw.
PS: But please correct me (with sources) if Iam wrong! -Would be interessted
Quick google search seems to indicate the possibility that there were. Maybe some wishful thinking involved? Perhaps the most interesting part in this page is the indication how well the Roman use of caltrops could disable their use. https://weaponsandwarfare.com/2020/07/10/cataphract-camels/
Btw here's very high quality pictures of a historical camel head armor: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/31874
Love this. Been waiting for this mod since open beta. Thanks for your work. BTW...the camels seem to be larger in the screenshot vs the one in game. Is this part of the mod or is it another mod you are working on?
There are 4 new camels using the native mesh with different stats. Regular, medium, large, extra large. The other mod with the cataphract uses the large model. You can find the camels in the cheat menu.
