08JAN24 Updated the skins file so it applies to females ages 16-20 as to make the make the transition from young adult to adult more seemless. No chubby girls going thin the moment they turn 21.
If you wish to have a go at playing with the numbers yourself just open the skins.exl file AFTER YOU BACKED IT UP.
do a search for body_meta_mesh="body_female_a" then scroll down until you find deform_key id="weight"
Under this section you will find a list of body part groupings. For example bone_scale bone_type="biped_abdomen" axis="x" key_min="1.0" key_max="1.0" ></deform_key>
The key_min is the minimum value and key_max is the maximum value. the values goes out to 2 decimal points and each .01 you raise it will have a significant impact. Many of the values I only adjusted by .01 or .02. I think .3 was the largest adjustment I made.
Once you are done with body_meta_mesh you will do the same thing with deform_key id="build" fields just below it.
It does work in 1.1.0 but you will need to replace the original skins file as every update seems to bring it back to default.
Since this is an edit of a game file and not a true mod I suspect it will work for every new update until they start making changes to the skins file directly.
As I stated in the description of this mod, I am not a modder. With some time, research and a lot of trial and error I'm sure I can come up with something but I'd be looking at months of figuring it out.
I use character reload as well and have no difficulty using this adjustment with it. The edit to skins.xml should only lower the highest values on the character slider and that is it.
Do not use this xml file to replace any xml in any mods. This file is from the native folder and should only be placed in that folder.
So far as I understand mods like character reload are dependent on the skins.xml file in the native folder meaning they do not change the values but work within the values listed in that xml. By replacing skins.xml file in your native folder it should work automatically with character reload. You shouldn't have to do anything but follow the directions I have on the mod page.
Hi, thank you so much for the guide provided. I had edited this to be use with some other as well as other mod
One particular is that I edited for Amazon Body since many armor mods were based on that and your edit only lightly touched it. So I did edited way more heavily that what you said.
'Weight' varies between thin / semi-thin while 'Build' only adjust certain parts and no longer meant athletic.
Assuming Amazon Bodies has the same skin.exl, which I assume it does just never took the time to explore that, you should be able to play around with the number yourself. Just follow the same guide I provided. I would suggest starting with the max at 1 so you have a good base line then tweek from there.
If it doesn't have a skins.exl file then just play with the skins file in the native folder as it will also effect Amazon Bodies.
YYEEEEESSSSSSS (but on a serious note you can do that but not too much so that it doesn't break immersion also, so there can be some diversity and you could make it into a seperate file so that people can choose the ones to their liking)
As I said in the description, I am not a true modder. I can go either thicc or thin but I cannot do both in one file. I notice the game tends towards the higher values, if it didn't there would be no need for this mod lol
honestly i agree with him on this one. i saw thinner and was like wtf, no, they're already thin lmao but really if there's a way to add diversity without going AMAZONMEGABODY_BB_FUK levels of immersion breaking extremes, it would be cool.
Thank you for bringing this mod to my attention, it saves me a lot of time trying to adjust values along with trial and error to make more thick females.
Judging from what I see on nexus mods thicc woman seems to be the norm. This mod fills a niche, perhaps a relatively small niche but with over 300 downloads in the first 24 hours it tells me that people want thinner woman.
@Lachdanam21 Diversity isn't inherently speaking about a societal issue my guy. One means "differentness" the other means "assortment", and they even have overlapping synonyms. They're basically the same thing, except diversity speaks of outcomes where variety speaks of choices. Tomato tomahtoh, but go ahead and be weird bout it.
Also, I'll go ahead and point out that I specifically mentioned the "solution" mod you proposed as being immersion breaking because of how outlandish it is. They barely resemble human beings anymore. Although judging by the overall syntax of your statements, I don't know that I should be surprised by your lack of comprehension towards either of these stated issues. Good luck out there.
I did make the noob mistake and forgot I had made other adjustments to this .xml file, specifically that I removed the underwear for adult female characters to make it work properly with the new armor mod.
When I get a chance I will upload a new file with the underwear on so you may choose between the two options.
Good mod--they should all be thinner (men and women). Medieval times were rough on common folk ( a lot of physical labor and not a lot of food), so both the men and women tended to be thinner. Only the rich people were fat.

Or maybe you can provide patch for other mod. Character Reload is one of the mod I use that have that file

Is there a certain build you are trying for?
FACEPALM
I'll see what I can do, just can't promise it will be made within the next few days.
Leave the thin mod alone for those who don't like them fat like me.
And it's not "diversity" it's variety derfmanch

Still as you said it yourself, variety was the correct term despite the subtle difference.
When I get a chance I will upload a new file with the underwear on so you may choose between the two options.
