Any plans to make a version with smaller banners with just your clan colors?  It'd make them more immersive since i'd imagine even cloth and dye are valuable resources around this "era." Also, it would be great if you make the banners randomly attached to spears of units - if thats possible. Something that to make the banner icons obsolete so you wont have to see circles floating above your troops' heads.

Hello, with the newly added photo mod, I've realised something, if there's a banner out of my character's sight at the moment I switch to photo mode, cloth physics don't apply to them and it results static, solid banners in battlefield when using photo mod.

Can you add a feature to allow/disallow cloth physics outside the character's vision or it's game's hardcoded stuff? Couldn't test with other items since it's hard to understand from static images for the rest.

    mod vers: 0.7.3.
    game vers: 1.5.6 beta branch

I've noticed this behaviour too when taking screens for the mod. You can also see this if you snap the camera around quickly during normal gameplay.

It is harcoded in the game's physics engine, and it makes sense too - it's CPU intensive to simulate the physics of everything, so it only does it for what you can see on screen (look into "occlusion culling" to see how it works).

As far as I know, I cannot tap into the cloth simulation with the mod. When Taleworlds decide to fully add banners back into the game I'm sure they'll do something to avoid this.

In the meantime, I suggest you let the game run for a couple of seconds while in photo mode, looking at what you want to capture, to let the banners flap around a bit. This is what I did.

I like the no-physics bit...its easier to showcase any work i've done on banners if they look stiff as a board :)
