how difficult is the process of adding new parts for these weapons? for instance would there be any possibility of being able to incorporate weapons that other mods add into this? would be amazing if so.
also, it would be cool to see an option to toggle visibility of holstered weapons. they can be pretty restrictive of your field of view. I know its unrealistic, but lets be real so are the weapons you can make with this mod lol.
Everything that you described can be done easily, in the form of a separate mod dependent on my mod, you may have to adjust compatibility with all the details, but it’s possible. In order for the weapon to be hidden, you need to edit the weapon template, try to copy the parameters from native item_holsters=
How to change the type of throwing weapon from throwing dagger to throwing dart or javelin. it’s just that instead of flying straight it flies in circles
I found how, I don’t really understand why throwing knives and not javelins If you want javelins too. not throwing knives in ModuleData go to newDescriptions.xml weapon_class="ThrowingKnife" change to weapon_class="Javelin"
Love the concept and enjoying the crafting. However I'm not the biggest fan of throwing the weapons i'm creating not having a stack of multiples (visual thing). Is there a way I can make it so the weapons aren't throwable or at the very least that the throwable function is not the first option when putting away my shield since we can't block with the weapon prepped for throwing? it's gotten me hurt a few times in combat when I want to swap to the 2h axe mode in close quarters.
+1 Also, does anyone know if this works with Bannercraft?
= Edit: I tried it on 1.1.5 with bannercraft and it worked. Forged my first set of throwable war scythes and the holstering is floating on my upper back. I also have a mod called Practical holsters running which works great usually even with custom weapons, but maybe they dont play nicely.
Hey there! Thx for mod, it's great! But i have some cosmetic problems. Placement of the weapon as an axe on the back looks bad, it's positioning to high. Where can i edit posiotioning of two hand weapon?
Find it! Universal Weapon\ModuleData\crft_templates.xml. Line 7 - "default_item_holster_position_offset" Universal Weapon one projectile\ModuleData\crft_templates.xml. same here. Best value for me is default_item_holster_position_offset="0,0,-0.70". It's looks in right place for long and short ones
