For now I completely quitted gaming and modding. No updates will be done anymore I wanted to update it and failed. TW did not want to help me fixing it either when I asked them. So sorry to disappoint you I even added more custom crafted weapons to it but once I load in my mods it just crashes without any meaningful errors.
I think the issue is the use of "item_modifier_group" when it should be just "modifier_group" for the custom weapons -- I'm new to Bannerlord modding so don't know if it was something changed in versions but all the bows in the weapons.xml (SandboxCore) use modifier_group="bow" (and as far as I can see item_modifier_group isn't used at all).

got the same error, saying the "BOW" is not set, or something like that.
i use other mod, it might be conflicting. but i have a strong background in coding and while i didn't look deeply into it, i doubt it was conflicting (unless the limit of NPC companion was reach)
Alternatively, i just manually transfer the individual character to replace the one in the other mod. there is a bunch of uninteresting companion in my other mod. like who want a old crappy 60 years old who can do about nothing save for been a bit better than the other with a sword when you are a tank yourself.
doing so, i by pass the issue and have most of the NPC offered in this mod.
*Edit* my tweak work well, but turn out that 80% of the girls are redhead with very similar face. they are looking good, but it really lack of variety and it's obvious there is a partern in the preference of the modders. for me, having 2-3 readhead is enough. but i feel like there is 20.
It is not dead far from it actually it is however now indeed not getting updated as there is not much of a point doing so. 1.7 does fix alot I am sure but it also adds gamebreakin bugs. Will probably release another update to fix some smaller bugs. Which I discovered working on this https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/3875 but made and tested on 1.6.2

i use the mod custom troop and the custom culture mod is there a way to make or change there culture to a custom culture..?
