I have this message in game.
пulation control mod: couldn't add menus. This is harmless, but you will need to reload to save before the population management menus appear.
    Whats whrong?

You state this in the description:

"Alternatively, if you enable Bannerlord's cheat_mode, you can reduce or increase prosperity without negative effects and in any settlement."

Can't find the correct console command to do this. If anyone does then that would be great.

It isn't a console command. You need to modify a config file to enable cheat mode in Bannerlord. It should be in your Documents>Mount and Blade Bannerlord II>Configs>engine_config.txt open that up and your looking for the line that reads "cheat_mode= 0" change the 0 to a 1, save the file and re-open your game and there you have it you're in cheat mode. Have fun playing!

I did a manual install and it didn't work. :(
Edit: I tried with Vortex too, all it does is switch my game to windowmode. I installed it both times correctly, i don't understand what the issue is.

Does it crash? Try finding the file "PopulationControl.dll" and right click -> properties -> click unblock. The file is under bannerlord's install directory in "Modules\PopulationControl\bin\Win64_Shipping_Client\PopulationControl.dll"

Yeh i checked that when i installed it, it's not blocked (i don't have that option to unblock). Its very weird i can install mods perfectly for other games but for this one it just doesn't seem to work... no mod does. Is it possible that it has something to do with patches or even steam?

If your bannerlord crashes with no mods installed, it might require a reinstall.

What kind of thing do you want to configure? I'm not sure if I want to put the loyalty to prosperity ratio in a config file. (right now, it's 1-to-1, which means losing 10% of prosperity loses 10% of loyalty). If people lower that it kind've turns the mod more into a cheat in my opinion but you can just already turn cheat_mode on and reduce prosperity without loyalty loss.

My suggestion, to you my good man. Thank you for a wonderful mod.

-If prosperity is to be a negative modifier to food production for whatever reason then.
Let food production be exempt from the negative prosperity modifier, UNLESS it is under siege.

Reasoning for this is, when there is no siege, military members are fed by tapping into the local markets.
When the area is under siege, THEN, and only then should the strategic reserves be tapped into.

    In short:
    When NOT in siege:
Normal bonuses as they are, nothing needs to be added.
Remove prosperity penalty from food production.
*not as simple, adding a negative modifier for bandits, or bandit hideouts etc.

    When IN a siege:
Prosperity penalty begins to be factored into the food stockpiles.

prosperity is the reflection of how attractive and successful a city is, just like in real life. the more people that move to the city, the more food they consume. It's simple as that. So there is no "exempting" anything because otherwise you're magically creating food out of the thin air. The problem is there is no natural balancing that occurs in real life, where people realize "hey...s#*!'s getting hard to get...prices are going up"
When prices go up, the population stops coming in and it drops down as they leave a bit.
Right now, this is only happening when they start starving along with your garrison which is the real problem.
So the prosperity "penalty" is simply all those people EATING THE FOOD.

Nice work, a must-have until the devs come up with a proper solution to the food problem. Doesn't even feel like cheating, a nice balanced addon to the base game mechanics.

Is there any way to halt prosperity all together because while this is quite helpful for all my towns with to much already but I don't want to have to return to each one every so often to just drop it down again and again because they eat to much food lol. I even have a mod to increase how much food is produced each day and still it is a problem lol.

Sounds like you might not understand the game mechanics.. :P

Prosperity reduces food. (+Gold, -less food). If you want to get more food, and less gold, reduce the population to 100, don't raise it to 40,000.
