Does anyone know of a tutorial that tells you how to add a custom weapon mesh with textures into the game and if this template will work for that yet? I know it says you can't in the description but this template has been out for a while now and I have seen other mods with custom models and textures. Any help that someone can offer would be most appreciated.
I've been searching the ancient texts for ages, IDK how someone hasn't made a tutorial for this final step. I found one for general items, but not usable weapons. Maybe this help you, but I'm still missing pieces of puzzle after watching.
For those who get a CTD when loading a game or when clicking campaign. What I did to fix this issue was making copies of Native templates/crafting items and made my edits there. Some of the value names in this tut have been changed in the current version. I also deleted all of the comments from the three files as well. I've since been able to load into game and create new character with no issues.
Does anyone know how to make the items in the example configuration available in the smithy? regardless of what I do, I only have the blade available at start. Even tried adding one of the default items from the game to the list, and that becomes unavailable as well in the custom category. I was hoping is_default would be the solution, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
Edit: Figured it out. is_default works, but only if it's set at character creation.
You said Custom Weapon and Armor, yet this only shows Weapon. I wish to make a custom armor. Please change the title to custom weapon as this will only work for that.
Dude your mod doesn't work. Adding and editing items and crafting pieces are fine but It looks lilke once I put any crafting template in your crafting template file the game crashes immediately after loading or starting new game. I triple checked all my code writings and they shouldn't be wrong. How could this happen? Are you sure you are not missing something? BTW the game version is 1.4.0.
A quick question. I wanted to make a special crossbow and the Module is running well with no crashes, but the item just doesn't seem to exist anywhere within the game. I cant't find any problems though. Any ideas?
You mean, at towns or using the cheat menu and checking the inventory? I reccomend turning on the cheat menu to test new items. Otherwise, giving culture="Culture.sturgia" will make it appear in sturgia, at a random chance. For a mucher higher chance to appear, and if you want it at any town, remove the culture="Culture.sturgia" and put in is_merchandise="true"
this maybe a newbie question but I tried to make a custom weapon and armor set.. I have the SubModule.xml and the files in the ModuleData folder set up like everybody else but when I activate and launch Bannerlord it says that it cant launch or read the Mod I made.. Can someone tell me how to fix that?
