So for me the mod doesnt seem to work. Can someone help me out with where I have to put the folder since it doesnt appear when I simply put it into the modules folder.
Is there a way to access this AK47 crossbow without activating the cheat menu? A method of introducing it into the game in a secret location that only players might know? Or give it to a specific character so that you can recruit and loot the crossbow?
Perhaps even a way to include it in the base shop? Or would this mean characters all over would start using it from the A.I?
I've been trying to mess with the xml but cannot seem to get it to work. I'm also unable to find a decent page online to help detail what I should change and where.
I saw something relating to is_merchandise="true" that apparently should work, also the appearance value being changed.
I'm about 10 years out of touch with reading xml documents and there isn't a comprehensive book on phrases in Bannerlord. I assume the item_modifier_group should be re-named to something other than 'Crossbow'. I don't suppose it has to have a further qualifier/attribute such as the quality of the weapon?
Has anyone been unable to locate it in the item menu once you've activated cheats? I've also updated the modules file for the mod just so that my game boots properly.
The mod has been updated. After opening the cheat mode, you can access the items from the inventory. If you sort the items by name, it will be easier to find them. All the information is in the description.
It will probably be in my documentation, but you can find it by searching for "engine_config" in the Windows search tab. You need to edit the selected text document, you need to set the command with "cheat_mode = 0" to "1". So it should look like this: "cheat_mode = 1" If you don't have this code, you can add it yourself. You can arrange the items in order of names so that you can find the crossbow more easily in the game.
Works fine in 1.6.0, however i noticed that since i installed it i now have much more random crashes while im playing, not sure what the underlying issue could be. Its kind of frustrating but overall this is a very fun mod

open ~\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\ak47weapon_updated\ModuleData\items\weapons
so line 30 reads item_modifier_group="crossbow">
change to modifer_group="crossbow">
there is another at bottom for the bolt change it too
item_modifier_group="bolt">
modifier_group="bolt">
so far it stopped the CTD from starting or loading a game, and played a few battles against looter with no problem
Open config menu. Enable config cheats and then open general inventory and sort alphabetically
That fixes the crosshair - works at least for now in 1.6.4.
