Hi everyone, sorry for the confusion. This is just a modder resource. I was simply experimenting with the new modding tool.
To anyone asking why a specific location wasn't included (Marmara Adasi, and Balikesir.) It has to do with the relation between the resolution and area of the heightmap and the size of the scene. If the area picked in heightmap is too much larger than the scale of the game world elevation changes become too steep and the map looks jagged.
This can be adjusted for by changing the scale of the imported heightmap, and "single-node dimension" of the terrain to lower values. On the flip side of this elevation changes appear less drastic and mountains can turn into hills.
If you'd all like I'll demonstrate how to import height maps into the official editor in a tutorial video.
I'd love to see that! I've been really getting into adding in custom towns/castles/and villages into the main map (Which as been very successful). I"ve been taking a gander at this and the Rome one you have put up, but for some odd reason I don't believe I'm opening it right. Probly just screwing it up lol. But, again I'd love to see a tutorial video!
Currently, this map is more of a resource for modders to implement on their own. There is not currently set up to be called for custom or campaign battles. This can be done fairly easily by editing the XML, but you would probably want to edit the scene as it is very large and empty in its current state. In other words, as it currently is, the map isn't implemented into the game in any way.
