About this mod

An updated version of PyroKinesis' Settlement Icons.

Renders icons over settlement nameplates to indicate an available quest, available tournament, or possibly available noble troop

Permissions and credits
If you get the following error on launch:

"Failed to apply the SettlementIcons patch:
Patching exception in method virtual System.Void
TaleWorlds.Library.ViewModel::ExecuteCommand(System.String
commandName, System.Object[] parameters)
Non-static method requires a target"

After some investigating it seems to me that the above error is due to an interaction UIExtenderEx which comes packaged with MCMv3.
I have absolutely 0 ideas how to fix it if I'm gonna completely honest with you.
From my testing it seems the game will launch anyway after you Ok past the error message, as will the mod, and there shouldn't be any lasting effects on your saves or any stability issues if that worries you.

I strongly suggest using MCMv4 over MCMv3. It works perfectly fine for me and doesn't lead to any such errors.
Make sure you load ALL MCM modules aswell as its requirements above Native, as instructed on the MCM's mod page.

Should look something like this:

Original Mod Description:

EXPLANATION

Crown Icon: The settlement has the potential to spawn recruitable noble troops. It doesn't necessarily mean noble troops are currently available.
Blue Exclamation Point Icon: At least one quest is available at this settlement.
Bracelet: A tournament is available at this settlement.

You can disable any icons that you don't want in the settings.json file at "SettlementIcons/ModuleData/settings.json"

If you would prefer to see these icons only over settlements nearby, set the "IsRangeRestricted" property in settings.json to true. That will restrict the icons to settlements that are close enough to be "inspected" which is the same range at which you see the parties within it and notifications.

If you want to see icons that indicate the type of resource that a village produces, set "IsResourceIconsEnabled" to true in settings.json. There aren't appropriate icons for all of these, so I had to improvise a bit.

INSTALLATION

Right click the archive, select properties, check the "Unblock" box, and then click "OK. Extract the "SettlementIcons" directory from the archive, and then move it into your "Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\" directory.

If you don't unblock the archive before extracting, you must unblock the dlls after you install.
