will this work for 1.7.0? really looking forward to this but tired of jumping versions when I like a lot about 1.7.0 even though some major issues for me like not being able to assign groups for your troops anymore so I can never get a proper shield wall or my guys separated properly...if you know of a mod to fix this or a way to disable that certain thing, please pass your knowledge my way. Thanks : )
Am I supposed to earn shitloads of Charm, even during the rounds I'm not in? Am I like seducing half the attendance or something? Or is this something that comes with the alternate updated version?
Not sure about everyone else but I'm on version 1.5.7, and it's working fine right now, only problem I have is the setting returning to default every single time but it is what it is
I just want to report that I managed to fix the issue. With 1.5.6 TW has removed an event called TournamentWon which this mod is using, instead there is one called TournamentFinished. So I just had to replace the former with the latter, and now the mod works in 1.5.6. I haven't tested it on 1.5.7 though. It's a shame that TW didn't make that element obsolete to ensure that mods using it don't stop working. Since tantan stated here that he is still supporting the mod and because I've made some other changes to it (i.e. the code provides a method which not only grants a prize for the winner, but also for the third and second placed, if player or companions, as this is in Floris, but this hasn't been working so far in the mod because of, I suppose, erroneous if clause), I don't think it's a good idea to upload my version of the mod. In case you want to fix it yourself, you know where to look at. If you need help, just send a message.
Hello, Been searching for that TournamentWon and TournamentFinished event for some time. From where do i need to replace? which xml and what module? i searched and the only tournament tied things in vanilla are in Sandbox/gui/prefabs/tournament and found nothing about TournamentWon/Finished. In the mod found nothing as well.
I sent you a message. Unfortunately, what you have to change is not in the xmls, but in the c# code, so you'll have to decompile the dll and change the code in the cs files. It's a bit of work. I has costed me half a day to make it work.
Nice, glad someone thought it was good enough to fix. Had to take a break from modding for a while but I'm back. Will release an update before 2021 so the mod is no longer dead, sorry for the delay.
After cleaning it up I'll release the source code for all my mods on github, that way it should be much easier for other modders to make fixed versions if I disappear again (hopefully I won't) or use them as inspiration/help for their own mods.
the mod is fantastic, for me it's an essential improvement of the gameplay in BL, I can't thank you enough for creating it. If you need any support let me know. Cheers
let's hope tantan is still supporting this great mod as he wrote in his last post, and that he is still going to release the code on github so the community is able to update it otherwise. It would be really a shame to have this great mod abandonned. Otherwise Cheyron may be still interested in looking at the code and make it work again on the latest versions.
Yeah I've downloaded it from the Dead Mod Pack and started getting crashes, tried every combo of the mods I have but Tantans always makes it crash. I read on his Youtube channel that Cheyron is taking a break, hopefully Mylittletantan will have the time and inclination to update the base mod because it looks absolutely great and a lot of fun :)
