I'mma be honest, this makes battles ridicilous. I have Attributes Matter + Skills Affect Units and boy howdy, some of the infantry are faster than the horses and all around the horses just die. I am guessing it is because of these two mods but nonetheless, this is a great template for personal configuration as the config file is super simple and easy to understand and offers good options too. Great mod overall but lord almighty was the first battle with everything loaded up crazy. I had Zweihanders from Noble troops outrunning the cavalry after a charge and they tried to run away.

I know what you mean :) I also had attributes matter + skills matter and those mods added like 200% faster swings and sprints and it was insane. I made the mod because I didn't like how huge the discrepancy in troop levels is. At 0 skill you are a snail and at 300 you are a racing car. I still use those mods but I tweaked them to only change trade/social/steward etc and only give significant damage multipliers to swings but speeds being at like +30% at max level which is manageable and it feels more "right I guess". I'm glad you find the config simple enough :) I tried my best.

Love this for most combat, but castle sieges become nightmarish to start

Can I ask why sieges become worse? Is it because rams are so slow? Or is it because the defenders have more chances to attack you? Maybe if you elaborated a little I could make another setting. Thank you!
