The is a bug in the base game known as the OnGovernorChanged bug. You can recognize it by looking at the exception from BetterExceptionWindow or ButterLib and checking if one of the lines looks like this:
This is not caused by my mod! It is a bug that is still unfixed in the base game! You may have come here because ButterLib told you that my Cheats mod is in the "Involved Modules", but that does not mean my mod caused the crash, it only means it was also loaded when the crash occured.
But there is a workaround! You can try installing this mod here: OnGovernorChanged Workaround It will not fix the actual bug, but it should keep your game from crashing until TaleWorlds fixes it.
About the future of this mod! Hello everyone! I just realised I never stickied a post about the current support for this mod. I just want to make everyone aware that I do not play Bannerlord anymore and thus have stopped actively working on this mod. I am still notified whenever the game has an update and will check if the mod is still working and try to release an update. BUT: It will probably take some weeks at least until I can find the time to work on an update, and I will most likely just disable any cheats for which I cannot find a quick fix because the game code has changed too much. Thanks for understanding! You guys have been great and your nice messages mean a lot to me!
If anyone would like to work on a "successor" of this mod, please feel free to do so! This mod is licensed under MIT and you can just fork the code and create your own "BannerlordCheats Reloaded" or something like that. :-) If you're willing to put the work in, I will direct people to your mod in the description and the posts.
If you're using 1.2.9 version of Bannerlord or any of the newer version there is a new mod that was inspired by this mod to create newer versions of this mod.
Hello, I'm not seeing the section where you submit bug reports, so hopefully the developer(s) see this. I am up to date with the mod and don't know what is causing the issue.
