As with most mods this mod supports the stable branch and may have limited or no functionality in the beta branch unless otherwise stated. If I have not explicitly stated compatibility with the beta branch please understand that I simply may not have gotten around to testing/updating it yet.
Update 0.3.1 is out! The new WIP features will typically remove all player kingdom automatic decision making and remove the AI from being able to sue for peace. The AI can still declare war on the player under specific situations that I have not addressed, such as wars for thrones or for specific settlements. As these situations occur according to events, such as a player holding a throne or holding previously owned settlements, I don't think I'll be going out of my way to exempt these scenarios. The current system that exempts the player from the randomly decided war/peace based on arbitrary randomness seems good enough, in my opinion.
0.3.1's crashing problem has been resolved and the update has been re-updated.
The default values packaged in 0.3.0 will lead to wars typically ending within 2 sieges and result in truce periods that are, on average, ~16 days long.
I have also added/fleshed out the WIP features, chiefly the player lead kingdom (kingdoms where the main hero is the leader) checks regarding auto calculated war and peace. These are mostly untested, so let me know if they work or if they lead to strange behavior. The non-WIP version of the mod (0.3.0) allows the player exemption flags to disregard your own kingdom's decisions regarding peace and war. The WIP version of the mod (0.3.0.WIP) allows the player exemption flags to fully disregard all AI decisions regarding peace and war; you're in control of when war starts and ends, hopefully. Let me know whether the changes work or lead to strange behavior.
Try the new default values but let me know if you come up with better settings, I may incorporate them into the next version!
If peace is being declared too quickly, turn down the entries in the configs! The casualties setting in specific may be very aggressively adding to the chance for peace!
GENERIC "BEFORE ASKING FOR HELP DO THESE TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS": 0. Make sure you're using the latest version of the mod UNLESS you're ABSOLUTELY certain another version is what you should be using instead. 1. Ctrl+F the existing comments to see whether someone else has had the same or similar issue. 2. Try to load the mod on it's own without any other mods even in the Modules folder. If it works now, check whether any of your existing mods are incompatible with this mod. 3. Verify the module folder has been properly installed by going to Bannerlord's Module folder and verifying this mod's folder is in fact there. 4. Check whether the included .dll's for the mod are unblocked. Typically these will be found in \Modules\[mod folder]\bin\Win64_Shipping_Client\ 5. Check whether the configuration file (if applicable) is present and whether it is properly formatted- an improperly formatted config file will cause a crash! 6. MANUALLY uninstall and reinstall the mod. 7. Uninstall the mod and verify the integrity of Bannerlord through Steam then reinstall the mod. 8. If all of these fail, post a bug outlining what the results were while going through these steps. This will GUARANTEE that I will see the issue. If you post a comment or bug claiming the mod doesn't work and you HAVEN'T done these steps I cannot guarantee that I can provide support.
So I have the latest version from 2/4/2022 from GOG games version..I get a crash everysingle time with new games and saved games and says there was an error loading the game with your mod.
does your mod work with the GOG latest version Because I am getting a crash everytime I even start the the game
This is a bit of a long shot, but this mod keeps crashing and I was hoping for some advice. The mod crashes after 80 seconds at normal speed (20 at fast) and the crash doesn't seem dependent on the time of day. I loaded another save, and it crashed in the exact same amount of time. I tried, to the best of my ability, every troubleshooting tip offered, and checked the other posts, yet couldn't find the solution. Thanks for any aid you can render.
My bug report says unknown mod unknown error but when I disabled this mod it stop crashing I was wondering if anyone had anything similar where it was listing the crash report as Unknown.
Same here, it seems that as soon an AI faction declares war to me, the mod cannot handle it. I have tried different settings in the xml but nothing chnages and it keeps crashing. I have disabled all the other mods and such but no.
