Morrowind

Day one in numbers

  • Comment
So Dragon Age Nexus has been launched just over 24 hours now and I'm really pleased with the response from the community. Many users on many different forums have expressed their positive opinions on the matter, and some their negative ;) and it has all come together nicely. To paint a picture of the first day in stats:

21 files
3,700 downloads
15,000 unique visitors
100,000 page views

Impressive stats for a site that's only a day old :)

I want to thank all the authors who have taken the time to upload their work to the site so far.

In other news after seeing the stats for the first day I've put in an order at one of my server providers for a dedicated 100mbit file server for Dragon Age Nexus to be located in Washington DC. At the moment the files are piggy-backing off of the Fallout 3 Nexus dedicated server which is causing a few saturation issues. I obviously needed to gauge the community reaction before I invested further funds in to fully supporting the site and that's why some of you are experiencing slow download speeds on the HD Textures mod at this time. The new file server should be operational by midday tomorrow and I'll be monitoring the bandwidth graphs throughout the day to see if it will be feasable to increase the download speed cap.

Roll-on day two!

Thank God for this site, I was worried that I would have to start the search over with the new game. My game is in the mail so I haven't even started yet but with you around it will be great.

Thanks for all the hard work. (the other old fart)

Dude, I think I use about every nexus you've put up. I was kinda stuck with the Bioware Social crap and was just about to give up on a mod because of the all the CRAP you have to wade through on that site... All I can say Dark, is you're a godsend bud... Many thanks, and game on!

I'm so glad to see Dragon Age added here! The support and quality, always number one! May Dragon Age find it's true destiny on DANexus. This is where I'll be.

This game is already beating some of the old games here on the forum. It makes sense! You did a great job Robin! <img class=">

Glad to see the site is doing well right off the bat.

Just wanted to say thanks for putting this up. I enjoyed the Elder Scrolls one.

Just finished my first game last night and started to look for mods to improve it. Google wasn't much help but thank the Maker for the Nexus sites - specifically the Elder Scrolls Nexus for pointing me out here. I wish it had been going on since the toolkit was released so we would have a wider variety of mods already, but what this site has gotten in less than 2 days is still remarkable. Thank you Dark0ne for making it and I'm looking forward to the future mods.

    Hooray!
Nexus for DA:O is the best message of the week for me <img class=">

Biowares SocialNetwork is intressting but it is a pain to search for Mods there.

Thanks a LOT for doing this Dark0ne. I think your Nexus sites are the BEST place for mods.

I only wish you'd make a site for each of the games I own. <img class=">

I had looked at Bioware's site and it was majorly cluttered & hard to figure out where everything was (or at least I had thought so).

Anyway, thanks again for making a Dragon Age Nexus. You rock.
