The mod uses the default file path (C:/Program File...) when the game searches for the meshes and textures. Thus if you installed your game in some other directory than the default Bethesda directory, you will get error messages. And the game crashes. I traditionally install my games in the D: directory to avoid data loss, and when I tried to create a Faceless companion using Grumpy's template, the editor told me that it can't find the meshes and textures. Sucks, but may be easily remedied by the experienced modder. I suck at modding so I just let deleted the whole thing.
Heads up for anyone who downloads the file... 2021 ... The files in the meshes\DesertStorm folder are mislabled. Where the file says "Body_Female_DS" , you have to add .nif to the end of it. I found out because I was trying to figure out what these DS files were and changed them to text and in text the read as nif with the version number, so I changed them up and they open fine in nifskope. I have not installed the mod yet, but if people are still trying to get this to work, that is the biggest challenge. Once you change the meshes to .nif MW will know what to do with them (hopefully). Hope this helps somebody :)
All right, this ratings are getting kind of annoying. What's so bad about this damn mod? I can't download it, as I uninstalled MW after I got Oblivion because of a computer memory issue. But this looks neat! Why is it so bad? Comments, people! Is it bad because there's actually something wrong with it, or you just don't like the idea? Let Desert Storm see text, not numbers. He put a lot of work into it, and I think it lookss great. I just can't try it. Yet.
I personally don't think you should retexture the heads. I think it already looks awesome! But seriously man, this looks like it has potential. I can't wait to read about thier origins, because they look wild. Keep going!
