So I downloaded the mod and am getting a error Model Load Error: Meshes\tf\tf_Light_Lantern_03_off.nif cannot load file in Meshes\tf\tf_Light_Lantern_03_off.nif. Will use the default object Marker_Error.NIF.
You probably don't care about it a year later but here's the solution.
Run the exe or add it to morrowind.ini to the Archive section if you are using stock Morrowind Add "fallback-archive=trollf manor v1.1.bsa" below Bloodmon.bsa, in openmw.cfg if you are using Openmw
I checked out a whole bunch of player housing, as you do playing bethesda games, and finally settled on this one. Been completely satisfied. Simple install, no conflicts, not overdone or to big inside, fits in well outside Balmora, tons of storage and display area and adds just enough features to set it apart. Recommended and endorsed.
This is a lovely house mod, with plenty of furnishings and some interesting design uses. There's plenty of storage and display space available for the player with maximum space allocation made courtesy to the rather atmospheric design choice of adding in common platforms to create more rooms in the main hall. Overall, I quite liked this house mod, it's decently medium-sized and well built, with more than enough room and services for the average player. and the mod file is very clean to boot. Endorsed.
For those who have been having trouble with the BSA Recognition program, you can easily add in the BSA archive to the Morrowind Config file easily. Simply go to your Morrowind folder, find the Morrowind config, create a backup of it, and then scroll down until you see [Archives] near the bottom. Type in the name of the BSA archive and you're done. It should look like this screenshot (note Archive 5).
I FOUND IT! I've had this mod for years, and haven't been able to track down where I got it from. Really glad to finally re-track the source to this page. I may have to give this an old school mod spotlight in the near future in celebration!
This mod looks great! BUT.. I can't wait to play it, there is a problem loading it. I followed all the instructions for loading it and then when I load the game it says model load error, and asks to continue loading executable. When i do it shows the house, with a huge transparent diamond with an ! in the middle of it. When I lockpick the house and try to go in it comes up with heaps of these error messages about different meshses. I end up not continuing and the game closes. I'd love to know how to fix it.
Had the exact same issue, when I ran bsareg it said "All BSA archives are already properly registered." which sounded like it didn't do anything at all, ran the mod, Errors, followed the readme to manually register it, and it fixed the issue, however, as a lvl 1, looking for a house early on (pack rat extrodinaire) i found the lvl 40 locked home to be a dissapointment. To grab the mod editor and such seems like quite a hassle to unlock it. Guess I'll leave it there for now and try another cheap home.
An excellent mod! There seem to be some cases where it doesn’t install/work properly, but in my case, re-installing the mod fixed the issue.
The house itself is just perfect: small enough to feel cozy, yet it contains all the essentials and has enough free space to not feel cramped. Armor stands are great for organizing your armor and clothes, allowing you to easily find and pick up desired set. And hunter achievements are a fun addition too.
Note about Hunter Achievements: to make them work properly, you need to place the note on some surface rather then keep it in inventory or a container; I personally prefer to keep it on my table where I can easily check it whenever I return home.
Unfortunately I can't rate for some reason so here is what I typed for the endorsement:
Apart from a tree which lies in front of the door which my characters have to shimmy past to get inside, I'd say this is just about perfect. It is not too big, it is pretty & there is ample place for storage & placing atmospheric lights.
