Hey I love the mod man. But when you're out of locked door and you try to activate it it will pull out your weapon. Messed up my auto lock pick and probe mod.
Yes, I believe it's thief tools, I'll find the exact name in a moment. But it's the mod that lets you pull out their tools by simply activating a locked or trapped door/container. But honestly it was weird because I don't know why it was pulling out the weapon for that anyway, I had assumed it was due to this mod because I had just installed it. I'll go try implementing it again to see.
So I am going to be honest brother, I can not remember what exactly the issue was >.< I remember it happening and I was like I should let him know but now that I am trying to do it again its working fine so maybe it was something on my part. My apologies and thanks for the quick response.
I just installed the mod and tried with a locked door (no weapon prepared, no spell ready)
If i use the keyboard shortcut 'Activate' ('E' in my case) it brings to me the lockpick as intended. If i use the Mouse 1 (left click) shortcut 'Use' it brings to me the weapon (as intended with CTPW mod) If i remove CTPW mod and try to 'Use' a locked door (left click) nothing happens.
I also tried to set 'Activate' shortcut on left click and the lock pick is well prepared (instead of weapon).
I can't reproduce the bug you are talking about :x
Maybe you can try to use optional file 'Middle click' and see if it fix something ?
It seems that i can currently reproduce the bug you were mentionning. But without my mod in the load order. I'm gonna investigate but maybe the problem comes from the convenient tool mod.
As a quick fix, you have to 'Activate' twice to get the lockpick ready
Edit: The best way to avoid issue is to set Auto Weapon Stance On Equip to False on Convenient Settings. With the ability to prepare weapon with click it's easy to prepare your lockpick when equiped by activating locked door.
Otherwise, i'm not able to find the exact issue's origin :/
It's funny man, after our conversation yesterday I told myself, I know that it happened... Perhaps it's just something weird with tools because I don't always like how it leaves me with a lock pick afterword anyways. Let me know if you need anything, testing or w.e. I'd be glad to help.
Any idea how to disable this script when a dialog menu is present? Feels awkward asking someone their background while simultaneously drawing my weapon on them.
For some added context and an issue that might be causing this is that I'm currently using OpenMW Dynamic Actors which adds real time dialog.
Yeah, i currently check that the game is paused to cover every cases (ddialogues, inventory...) The mod you are talking about is removing the pause when on dialogues so that "break" CTPW.
I'm on an update to handle this compatibility, stay alert ! :)

Could you give me the mod's precise name or link ?
I'll need to investigate :)

I will go right now and try to reimplement the thing. ( I am notorious for blaming the wrong thing after all)

It shouldn't be that hard to fix ! :)
Glad to see that everything works fine now !
And thank you for the mod btw. :)

It should works with Open MW Dynamic Actors :)
EDIT: Works perfectly as intended!
