Hey, these textures are gorgeous. Couple minor notes: 1) There's no performance version of the OAAB textures :( 2) In the TD Performance - normals pack, the root directory only contains `textures`, not `normals` like the `specular` and `diffuse` packages have. Super easy to fix on user's end but figured I would mention as it seems like you probably didn't intend for it to be that way.
EDIT: Also I noticed a really nasty bug with `textures/tx_skyrim_nord_face_female_17.dds`. Her eyes are stretched onto her forehead, and actually it sorta looks like a different texture entirely was used, but I can't really tell. This only occurs when used with: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/55726
For now what I've done is to rename the version of that texture with this mod provides, by simply adding an `_` to the beginning of the filename.
I can downscale the OAAB textures if you want, I mostly did the TD ones because the full scale ones are massive file wise and didn't think to go back to the OAAB ones after. There's also no performance version of the OG textures so I can do that to if you're running into VRAM issues. I know there's a big community of people who run OpenMW on steamdeck or old PCs so I wanna make sure it's accessible to everyone.
Can you confirm that it's only with the Mackom's head? If you have head replacers you should load them after this pack. What I'm guessing happened is that pack replaces the head mesh and texture with ones that have the same names as the originals, so when you load the watercolor after the replacer, it overrides the texture with the watercolor designed for the original mesh but keeps the mackom's mesh. There are some issues with eyes being a little out of place with the proper meshes but what you're describing sounds more like a load order issue.
Finally a full upscale for TD/OAAB that isnt just a 20GB+ of unoptimized textures (no offense to other authors but these sizes are ridiculous lol). I would recommend making another mod page that includes texture patches of other mods. I can mention some here if you want but you can check Modding-OpenMW.com for mods that most users play with.
Sounds good I'll check it out. I think the big issue is that TR has been around for decades and so you both have 4096*4096 textures of an NPC and 256*256 building textures so it's easy to create ridiculous files if you just upscale everything 4x. I had to go and sort by dimensions in like every folder to separate stuff that needed to stay the same res or only get upscaled 2x.
Actually it would be great if you could lmk some mods that need texture patches. I did atlas, have been planning on the common head and body replacers, and then also vurts custom trees but wasn't sure which mods actually contain a lot of new textures vs just meshes that use original textures.
Sure, here are a few of them that i use myself (you can also ask in the official OpenMW discord server if they include mods with many custom textures): Cities/landscapes: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/52971 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/51060 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/53126 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/49231 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/48136 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/50020 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/49075 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46177 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/49353 Interiors: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/52737 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/49644 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44893 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/50393 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46096 Other: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/51527 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/52002 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/50265 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/53151 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/48664 (not sure if this one has custom textures, so ignore if thats the not the case) https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/49883 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/51058 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44173 https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45779 Note that many of them might not have many custom textures and i just assumed by memory from playing them a few times.
