Adds mechanics to vampirism, all of which are toggleable in the MCM.

Options

Closed Helmets Hide Vampirism

Immersion option; wearing a closed helmet will hide the player's vampirism. Speaking to an NPC will reveal the player as a vampire.

Vampires Can Speak To Those That Adore Them (Or Under Their Command)

The player can speak, barter, and train with NPCs normally if the NPC has a disposition of 90 or higher.

The NPC will also regard the player as a non-vampire if the NPC is under a Command Humanoid spell.

NPCs which have special quests for vampires are excluded from this mechanic and will always speak to the player as normal.

Vampires Must Feed To Restore Health

Vampires must rely on absorb health spells (such as Vampire Touch) to restore health. Restore health spells, potions, enchantments etc will be resisted.

This is a mechanic to roleplay needing to feed without adding a complicated hunger mechanic.

Vampires Do Not Need To Breathe

Vampirism gives a permanent waterbreathing ability.

Vampires Get The Eye Of Night Spell

Vampires get the same zero-cost night-eye spell that Khajiits have.

Vampires Cannot Walk On Water

Water-walking spells will now be resisted. This is a nod to myths that vampires cannot cross running water.

Vampires Cannot Take Fall Damage

Especially useful with the option that disables restoring health, vampires will not take fall damage.

Vampries Can Rest Until Nightfall

A small modification of the 'rest' menu which replaces the 'until healed' option with 'Until Nightfall' (only when the player is a vampire).

Inspired by the mod Limited Resting Waiting and Regen by akh.

Namira's Shroud Only Works When Taking It Slow

Namira's Shroud (an item from Tamriel Rebuilt) will only be in effect when the player is not running.

This is a way to nerf the Shroud's power in an immersive way; Wearing the Shroud as a Vampire now feels like going undercover.

Silver Weapons Do Increased Damage To Vampires

Silver weapons do +50% damage to any vampire (player or NPC).

Vampires Take Damage On Temple Grounds

Vampires will take a small amount of damage every second they walking on temple grounds.

Compatibility

- Not compatible with OpenMW.

- This mod is pluginless and doesn't alter any vanilla scripts, however, some inconsistent behaviour with other vampire mods (such as vampire hider) may still take place. But unlikely to cause any crashing or serious conflicts.

- If a new version of Tamriel Rebuilt changes the ID for Namira's Shroud then the Shroud option will need to be updated. Similarly, Tamriel Rebuilt changes to the ID for their vampire scripts will cause the player to need to save and reload for these options to be added to the player. Any future changes such as this won't cause crashing, they will simply stop the Shroud option from working without affecting the rest of the mod.

- Project Cyrodiil NPCs which have special interactions with vampires may require the player to have below 90 disposition for their special dialogue to occur. If this is indeed the case then it will be addressed once Project Cyrodiil updates their documentation for quests involving vampirism.

Troubleshooting

- Simply save and then reload.

Known Issues

If the player is in third-person when speaking to an NPC, the player model may briefly disappear, or the face may revert to a non-vampiric face. This is an engine limitation and expected behaviour which won't cause any problems and fixes itself when dialogue is closed.
