Of Pacts and Patrons, version 0.1.2
By Team Glitterstorm
(aka Glittergear and Storm Atronach)

Of Pacts and Patrons brings elements of religion into the game, by allowing you to pick a Daedric Prince to worship, OR a Nine Divine or Tribunal Saint to be your patron. You perform devotional acts and can receive powers, abilities, and spells in return as your devotion and faith grow.

More specifically, doing various Devotional Acts gives you “points”. The specific acts and rewards, of course, are different depending on which Patron you choose. Note that you can pray to all Patrons once per day for 1 Devotion.

Here’s what we got so far.

Saint Veloth the Pilgrim
The path of a visionary is to seek new knowledge and to always be on the move. So must we find our way forward, not pining for that which we lost before birth, nor blindly advancing into lands unknown, but embraced by our Ancestors and the true path revealed by ALMSIVI. – The Gospel of Saint Veloth

Devotional Acts:
Always be on the move: Visit places that have a map marker*, +1 point/location

Stendarr

And he made it known unto his priests, resolutes, and templars, that these unnatural profanities are abhorrent in his sight, and are to be exterminated by the Righteous without halt or mercy. For these Abominations are each and every the eternal enemies of the mortals of the Mundus, and shall not be suffered to abide among us.” – From The Four Abominations

Lightbringer (Weapon) – 30 devotion

Chronomancy
"… thus does Merid-Nunda ride across the rainbow road from end to end, at one end stretching the Dragon, at the other end compressing him …." This seems to suggest that Meridia can in some sense alter the rate at which time flows forward.” – From Exegesis of Merid-Nunda

If you have Halls of Colossus (MWSE-only), you can get Chronomancy powers instead of the Axe or Shortsword. Instead of those options, you have the options of Reintigrate (repair weapons & armor) or Slow Time. These cost 50 devotion each.

Future Plans

  • MWSE-lua version!
  • More Patrons to choose from!
