Version 0.4
- added persistence logic
- misc items adjustments
Ever wondered how the citizens of Morrowind get through their day carrying little more than a few coins and maybe a 'Bargain Restore Willpower' potion? Fought a sneaky thief only to find he doesn’t even own a set of lockpicks? Killed a deserter who survives by ambushing travelers in the wilds - yet apparently has no need for food or water? Discovered a mangled corpse of a noble deep in some dark, damp cave… with just 3 gold to their name?
This mod tries to fix that.
At its core, this mod functions like a lightweight leveled list system for NPCs. It randomly distributes 1–2 of each food, drink, and flavor items - based on a simple tag system tied to each base game class - along with a bit of gold. This distribution happens the first time the NPC is loaded into the game. Miscellaneous and flavor items are generally low in value to avoid giving the player an easy path to wealth*
Does not require a new game. Load order doesn't matter.
Known Limitations:
NPC inventories do not restock. Once looted - via pickpocketing or forcing to surrender (e.g., with the MercyCAO mod) - their pockets will remain empty for the rest of the playthrough.
Pickpocketing UI may not always display all available items. If that happens, try reopening the window a few times to reveal the rest.
* Unless you want to roleplay as a Robin Hood-style thief, targeting nobles - who might carry a hefty sum. Nothing game-breaking, though - it's already pretty easy to get rich in Morrowind
