I tried this and looks great, but was quite choppy and stuttery

that's strange, textures are 2k but all have mipmaps, maybe the 2k is too much VRAM

I'm currently using your other parallax landscape mods with no issue (both are 1k textures). Does this one possibly cause stuttering & if it does would a 1k version of this be possible?

the reason previous landscape mods caused stuttering was becasue of lack of mipmaps, this one now has mipmaps so 2k will run without stutter

Just got done testing & having no issues on my end. Looks amazing ingame. Not just this one, but all of them. Definitely staying in my loadout.

I'm glad you like it! I'm making new more realistic and carefully made textures for each individual region, when I release those I'll put them together into a full pack like my last pack.

Nice this is actually perfect timing. My current character will be the one I'll finally take to Solstheim so this is very fitting.
I've got just one question: If I enable PBR in my shaders (I'm using Rafael's) and then use PBR textures, especially landscape textures, to what degree does this affect performance?
I know that generally PBR is very efficient given the visual upgrade (in other engines at least) but I was always a bit afraid of using the optional PBR shaders from that shader pack.
Also a second question actually: I've noticed that parallax doesn't have any form of range culling in OpenMW, isn't that pretty bad for performance too? Having every rock in the distance parallaxed.

      It will minimally affect performance

And as for parallax I'm pretty sure it doesn't render in the distance, either way the performance impact is negligeble

      Alright good to know.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
Your textures use all the lastest tech in OpenMW so I'm really looking forward to more coming :)

You should credit where you are getting these textures. I am aware there are free texture websites, but I find it strange how there are three that are from Lougian's Landscape Retexture and three from the Solstheim HD Texture Replacer from Tomb of the Snow Prince mod with slight changes in gamma without any credits written.

Thats true, there is one texture from Louigian's Landscape replacer (edited west gash shrubs), the rest idk where you're getting from (as there are 0 textures from Solstheim HD Texture replacer lest they be placeholders) but Louigian's Landscape replacer has no permissions in place and states the textures are from free websites, (which you do not need to credit except for the reason of helping other modders find said textures) but if you wanna draw down a months work to slight gamma changes then continue doing so.

Here are comparisons of Lougians, yours, and from that Solstheim Pack I mentioned (there are more than one):

Some do look like you did change the gamma. Some look like you overlayed another texture to mask something or to get some odd blending (you can see this on tx_bm_tomb_02 for example, there are quite a few like this. I have the original texture you used as a base but do not remember where it was from https://imgur.com/a/xFtQ03r).

Some advice about the vegetation textures, you incorrectly saved almost all the textures modified from Vurt and the Aesthesia grass with DXT1 which is why the edges on the leaves look blocky (they should be DXT5 to preserve transparencies/details). Textures in the wl folder are saved correctly.

Oh those rocks, yeah those are untouched from Louigians, I forgot about them since they didn't show up anywhere in the world space, as for the painted rocks I'm fairly sure they're exclusive to STOTSP so it's reasonable to use that art design and edit it with textures that fit the pack, otherwise they look out of place and I'll see about the foliage, the purpose of overlaying is to add a texture with larger details on top so it masks the tiling from further away, I use this in a lot of my mods
