Description:
A simple mod changing the stats window. It stacks your character's stats into one panel/column, rather than having them spread over two panels/columns. See pictures for reference and a before and after example. Usage note: To make your stat window look like any of the provided example pictures, remember while in-game you can resize the stats window by clicking and dragging the border of the window. Enjoy! Created using OpenMW 0.49.0 RC7 and Visual Studio.
Installation:
- Option 1: Extract the downloaded folder somewhere and append it to your Data Directories via the OpenMW launcher. Look for further instructions in OpenMW docs.
- Option 2: Use MO2 with the Kezyma's OpenMW Player for Mod Organizer 2 plugin. Ignore the warning when you install the mod. Look for further instructions in MO2 and Keyzma's OpenMW Player docs.
Compatibility:
This should be compatible with most mods but will not be compatible with any mods that edit "openmw_stats_window.layout". It is fully compatible with Interface Reimagined for OpenMW, which I use for my own playthroughs and recommend.
Creation Note:
I was not able to find an OpenMW version of what this mod does. It might exist, I'd be very surprised if it didn't as it's very simple, but I gave up looking. I've been wanting to get into mod authoring and this seemed a natural start. I banged my head against the wall a bit with this, having no code or mod authoring experience of note, but I got it to a point that I'm happy enough with it. It works, doesn't seem to break at all, and I wanted to share. If you have any feedback, please let me know. :)
