I see that this mod does work for the player being able to wear full helms and boots when playing a beast race. However, it seems that it does not function for NPCs.. so no slaves can wear those armor types.
Also, try the Nordic Mail boots from Solstheim on a beast race.. an amusing side-effect comes up.
yeah, that's kind of odd. maybe axe can fix it. My guess is he didn't think about this because he doesn't regularly use beast race companions (or companions at all for that matter)
No. and it never will. Stop asking. MWSE lua and OpenMW lua are two different beasts and knowing both is not productive for modders. So either you wait for a third party to convert, find an alternative mod (which there are lots that don't even use script extenders btw), or take the bullet and play the vanilla engine.
How different is this from Beast Boots? That mod needed an esp for a couple of boots that don't have ankle pieces, does this mod account for those somehow, or does it not need such a workaround?
pretty sure it uses MWSE lua to change the way boots fit Beast races. may add a new model for the respective body part. alternatively, it just removes the foot part of the boot. you would have to actually ask axe though.
Ignoring the racism, it was always dumb to me that beast races had different animations and especially couldn't wear full helms/boots. Thanks for the mod. :)(
