Idk why exactly my install is different but I had to drop these into "Morrowind > OpenMW 0.48.0 > Resources > vfs > shaders" instead of a "data" folder to get them to come up in game thru the F2 key. just thought id post in case someone else was having trouble
Gotta love these toon effects in all old games. Somehow makes them feel a lot more fresh.
Anyway... There is one thing bothering me with the mwtoon shader, and I've tried googling around and finding the problem myself, but no luck so far. The issue is, that I can see outlines through the ground, like for example house foundations, and also some objects through walls in interiors. Any idea on how to eliminate this? Or do I simply have to accept my fate and slight irritation and live with it?
I tired playing around with openmw options, and tried to see if I could tweak the shaders somehow myself, but like I said, no luck...
Nevermind. Just ran a new installation with the auto-install method, took about 10min, and now I'm good to go with all the new stuff for now. The issue was also fixed.
The installation instructions are incorrect. OMWFX shaders go into data/shaders, not resources/shaders. resources/shaders is for core shaders, not post process shaders. Post process shaders get loaded as regular mods with a shaders folder inside the mod folder.
Initially I was not seeing the shader options but after following EpochWon's instructions they work great and I gotta say they look pretty fantastic! Thanks for sharing them! 😊
