About this mod

Rework of 1h weapon movement and idles aiming to look more natural. Also tweaks 1h attacks and unbugs vanilla idles without making the feet slide. Only affects 3rd-person animations.

3rd person animations only. If you are looking a1st person animations rework - check ReAnimation v2.

Will work just fine without, but was initially meant as a supplement for Animation Compilation. So very much recommended to be used together with Animation Compilation.

Vanilla idles have a bug where through multitude of saves and loads npc can shift their positions and fall off the ledges, Animation Compilation fixes that but makes the feet slide significantly during idle animations, this mod fixes the fix.
Animation compilation 1h attacks also make it impossible to do short attacks, only fully charged ones, this mod fixes that as well.
And while at it - I reworked 1-handed idle and movement animations to look less rigid and match better with Animation Compilation's 1h running animation.

°°° Installation °°°

- Install with Mod Organizer 2 or extract contents of the archive into your ...Morrowind/Data Files/ folder.
- Recommended to be used with Animation Smoothing.
OpenMW: Latest Development Build from here or a 0.49 release when it comes out. Then in Launcher check Settings -> Visuals -> Smooth Animation Transitions.
MWSE: Use this mod

Note vanilla version is a merge between these animations and vanilla animations. It does NOT include the rest of Animation Compilation animations, since those are not my work so it's not entirely fair to merge it. I will most probably post instructions later on how you can merge with Animation Compilation yourself.

°°° Compatibility °°°

OpenMW: Practically any animation mod is compatible. There's only a slight chance that another animation mod overrides same animation groups in the same fashion and will take a priority over this mod. If such a thing happens - most likely you can resolve that by moving this mod under any other animation mod in Mod Organizer 2.

Vanilla: Practically no animation mod is compatible. As of right now vanilla Morrowind doesn't have a flexible animation extension system (maybe MWSE will have in the future) so different animation mods don't work together if they affect the same animation file (there are separate files containing all 3rd person anims and all 1st person anims, so different animations affecting 3rd person anims will not work together, but one affecting 1st person and another - 3rd person - will). It is possible to mix and reassemble animations from different mods together, it requires a bit of manual work, but I will post instructions later.
