could you make it that instead of limits there would be slowing multiplier applied ? like misc skills normal leveling speed limit is 35 and from 35 its 3 x slower, from 50 5x slower and so ... ?
I'll consider it. Initially I didn't want to mess with the experience system in this mod, but now I'm pondering on it. I might implement something like that.
New features in 1.1: * Maximum skill levels are further reduced by the race skill bonuses, non-matching skills reduce the maximum by 5. (The actual bonus amount doesn't matter.) * Once a character is eligible to gain a level (10/10 skill level ups) skills won't level up anymore. Only once the character reached a new level, skills can be increased again.
For calculation, the skill base value is used. The bonus would then be added on top.
Example 1, the short blades skill reached its cap at 65. Then you become a vampire, adding a skill bonus. Your short blades skill is now 85.
Example 2. Your Short Blades skill cap is 65, but you are only at 55. Then you become a vampire, adding a skill bonus. Your short blades skill is 75. But since your base value is 55, you can still level it to 65. You can continue leveling it until the displayed value reaches 85. Whenever you reach a new level, the little window would tell you the new base value.
This applies to all skill bonuses, be it by becoming a vampire, fortify skill spells and items with a constant skill fortify. The reduced skill caps only apply to your base skill level, everything else just gets added.
Hello, As far as I know, skill uncapping isn't possible nativly with the current OpenMW engine. There are mods like "Natural Character Growth", that do their very own thing using fortify skill internally as a way to "uncap" skills... I didn't test with this mod, but I'd assume they'd very likely clash.
Sure! First thing to check, is the path in the openmw.cfg correct? It should be (...)/LevelsAndLimits/Data Files, not just the main folder. If you then can see the configuration options in the Scripts section, it should have loaded correctly.
Great mod. I was looking a mod like this for years. When I paid the trainer for a lesson, my money was taken, but the skill didn't get higher. Works fine on OpenMW 0.49 Android.

All new features can be configured and toggled.
Does it include vampire bonuses? While being a vampire nothing would change, when I reach the cap?

Why do think it doesn't work?
