I made an edited version of Expansion Delay to account for this mod so now Helseth will actually hire the DB assassins on me after ruining his plans on Vvardenfell
Really like the mod from what I played. Everything is quite self contained and non intrusive. New NPC's are used where needed and the dialog and discussion at the end is ace. One minor bug was encountered which I logged and as others have mentioned a latest rumours to push to the Temple might be useful as well as a hint to follow up after Dagoth Ur is beat. Either way it's done enough to give roleplay reasons to do Tribunal.
Hello. I've noticed a small bug in the mod: the topic "my trade" that defines the broker profession is not assigned to any type of NPC, so if the mod is loaded after Tamriel Rebuild, it causes all characters in Tamriel Rebuilt to use that topic as a response regardless of their assigned class. I use OpenMW, in case that is relevant.
Are you using the 2nd version? The original version was using an indev version of Tamriel Data as a master which caused issues for people with the publicly released version. I thought I fixed that with the second. If you are using the second version, I'll have to take another look.
Hello. Yes, I am using the latest version. In fact, just to be sure, I re-downloaded it and checked it in the CS. I'm not sure if this bug occurs in the original vanilla game since it organizes dialogues a bit differently, I believe, but in OpenMW, the topic I mentioned overwrites all the "my trade" dialogues from TR... unless I'm mistaken, of course.
Here's a screenshot of the dialogue line I'm referring to. It's a screenshot from OMWCS, but even if you're not used to using it, I think it will be easy to interpret. In the image, you can see that without an assigned actor or a generic note, the topic would be applied over all dialogues: https://imgur.com/a/bO1wkqV
If you load this mod before TR, which is possible since it's not a mandatory dependency, the bug doesn't appear, and maybe that's why it has gone unnoticed. In any case, as I said, I could be wrong, but in my case, deleting that dialogue line in the CS fix the problem.
Thank you for the update! It appears to have been caused by me failing to properly clean the mod with TESAME after I updated it to work with the proper version of Tamriel Data. I planned make a more substantive update for this at some point this month (I want to change the dialogue in the final quest, I got a better idea for it) but this was severe enough that I uploaded a fix for it now.
I assume this works with Expansion Delay? My sense is that it likely does, but I'm in the process of making some adjustments to my load order, so I'd like to make sure before forging ahead.
OK, thanks, I'll give it a go then, I've just become paranoid, because, for some unfathomable reason, or a string of just bad luck, I've had a lot of trouble getting a play-through started this time around.
I noticed something weird, while loading the game it stops when loading this plugin and says that it can't find Glb_Broker dialogue topic "empty". Is there something missing? The game loads normally and the questline is currently going well as far as I've seen, just this one thing happens every time I load the game.
Ah crap, I have an idea of what it is. I was working on this simultaneously with something else that required a different version of Tamriel Data. I tried to go back and forth with the versions but the final version might have used the updated TD as a master. Hang on I'll see if I can fix.
Uploaded new version, if that was what was causing the issue (I'm pretty sure it was because I recognize the Broker thing), it should be good to go now.
This sounds and looks fantastic! Thank you for this!
Quick question, is there anything that pushes you to go seek out the start of this quest chain? I could see most people never touching it if there is nothing to persuade them to go seek them out at either some point in the main quest or a local rumor!
That's a really basic thing that I didn't think to add, I was just counting on people running into her or reading the mod page. I should have added some kind of rumor for St. Delyn about the pilgrim. I'll do that on the first update.
Nice! Always makes me smile seeing your mods, they just add so much to the game. Will be starting this later :D Love how your questlines bring the PC to places we barely visit, really excited for "Middle Air"!
Thanks! I haven't fully decided what my plan is for that yet. It'll probably be a Redoran questline with a focus on Vivec and the Sixth House. That will probably change, but that's the current idea. Also considering using OAAB for it in addition to Tamriel Data for the Sixth House assets.
