Better Propylon Index Discovery
This simple mod adds 3 more copies of each Propylon Index to the world, scattered throughout dungeons, cities, and other notable locations. There are now 40 total Propylon Indices in the world, so you have a decently high chance to discover most of them without needing to complete the Master Index quest or look up where to find them online.
The locations of the indices are not usually hidden in the environment, but you will still need to keep your eyes open as you travel around to make sure you do not miss them - every Propylon Index is placed in an interior location.
I have included an optional version of this mod that also reduces the weight of each Index from 2.0 to 0.5 (carrying all 10 Indices used to weigh 20 pounds, now it weighs 5) and reduces the value of each Index from 500 to 150 (due to the fact that there are 4x as many Indices - and the fact that you still get 5,000 gold for turning in all 10 to Folms Mirel during the Master Index quest).
I highly recommend Zackhasacat's Detect Propylon Indices mod, as well as ezze's Highly Visible Keys and Propylon Indices (which you can see in the screenshots) to easier locate them.
Lore-friendly?
In terms of the lore, I could not find anything that stated that each Propylon Index was unique or that there were no copies made. It makes sense to me that the ancient Dunmer (or Chimer?) probably used the Propylon Chambers as quick travel around the island of Vvardenfell, so there likely could be copies of the Indices all across the province. Being that there are only 4 of each Propylon Index now, it is safe to say that they are still extremely rare items which maintains their value and usefulness.
Compatibility
Because this mod does not edit the vanilla Propylon Indices, Master Index quest, or any vanilla game content at all, it should basically be compatible with everything. The worst you'll encounter is a floating Index if you have a mod that changes an area where a new Propylon Index is placed.
Additionally, this mod doesn't require any DLCs or even the Master Index plugin. Have fun!
