I'm having a graphical issue with the lanterns. Sitting on the vendors table, or anywhere else I place them for that matter, and there is a bright square shaped light around the lantern. At first I thought it was one of those exclamation markers for a missing texture but that isn't the case. The colored square also matches the color of the lantern. Wearing the lantern, everything appears normal though. Any idea what can cause this?
That's odd, is it only the lanterns from this mod or do other lights do it too? And could you post a screenshot? I'm not sure if I'll be able to help but if I have a picture I might
Only effects the lights from this mod and only when placed in the environment. No issues while wearing them. Not exactly game breaking but wouldn't mind fixing this if its simple enough.
Are you both using Dunmer Lantern Replacer with the glow effect? I downloaded it to test it out and the base meshes without the glow effect from that worked fine but the glow effect causes this to happen. I'm not sure as to why that's happening though as I'm not too familiar with how glow effects work yet.
I did have the lantern replacer installed. Uninstalling it corrected the issue. I'll try installing again without the glow effect and see what happens.
I'd love to have a patch as I use that mod too, but I don't think it's possible. Onion uses armor slots to add new items so the lanterns are technically considered gauntlets and not lights. I don't enough about MWSE and coding to apply actual lights to the hip as Onion provides a template. If someone with the ability to that wanted to then they have my full permission!
They don't! The light on them is a constant enchantment so they don't extinguish at all. I made them mostly for aesthetics but also because having to constantly switch between a lantern and other items was annoying to me
