This plugin is an additive expansion to the races and star-signs of Morrowind. No racial powers or abilities have been removed (though a couple existing abilities are buffed.) Almost entirely, this mod just adds *new* racial passive abilities to each race of Morrowind that highlight their strengths in lore.

Further, this plugin adds one or two new significant powers to every star-sign, giving many a much-needed buff and making star-sign choice a more significant part of your roleplay experience.
    
Hence I call this 'VanillaPlus' - this project does not remove or significantly alter vanilla abilities, powers, or skills, it only adds neat new extras (and buffs in a couple places.)

I highly recommended playing this mod with the Morrowind Code Patch with the option for 'NPC AI casts zero cost powers' enabled, and abot's excellent mod MWSE-Lua NPC Birthsigns

This plugin will have best results with starting a new game. It may or may not work just fine with existing save games.

This plugin may or may not be compatible with other mods that affect racial abilities, powers, balance, and character progression. This mod was intended to be used as part of a 'mostly vanilla' gameplay experience.

While this mod should be compatible with OpenMW, I *highly* recommend using this mod in the vanilla engine in conjunction with Morrowind Code Patch, with the option [mod specific > NPC AI casts zero cost powers] enabled, as well as a mod like MWSE-Lua NPC Birthsigns which lets NPCs use the new birthsign powers as well. This may make the game much more challenging for unprepared players.

You can tell if this plugin is activated by seeing if the new abilities are there. :)

This plugin was made in the vanilla TES3 Construction Set. It was then cleaned with tes3cmd and testool and reviewed with Morrowind Enchanted Editor. This is my first ever mod for Morrowind. :)

This plugin came about because on my most recent playthrough of Morrowind I wanted something a bit more interesting and challenging, and I wanted to give every race some little buffs to spice up combat throughout the game. The first iteration of my idea for this mod broke trainers because I buffed skills for each race, and trainers ended up training the wrong stuff, which was kinda funny. So I scrapped that and made this, which doesn't buff any skills, so it doesn't break trainers, yay.

I'm sure there are other mods out there that do this concept, overhauling the racial balance, powers and abilities and all that. But I figured I want to make my own take on it, firstly to do it in this 'vanilla plus' way, to only build on vanilla balance instead of replacing it; secondly to make my game harder for myself; and thirdly to add new fun powers and variety that match the lore and make every race stand out at something.

This mod contains nothing but my own work. I release any ownership or copyright of this mod, I give it to the gift economy. You can use this mod's content and ideas freely for any purpose whatsoever with or without credit. This mod is a gift back to the Morrowind community. <3
