Just here to echo the doesn't work crowd. On Linux running OpenMW (Ubuntu MATE, latest version as of comment writing, and OMW 0.49 RC9)
Put it right next to my openmw.cfg, but it just dies silently every time
I try to run it. Happens on both the GUI & non-GUI versions.

Possible to add custom rules, ie mod x.esp always must be loaded after/before mod y.esp? BR

This does not sort anything. It even leaves .esm files below .esp files that should be higher priority. I even placed Tamriel Rebuilt esm in a place it should not be and it still did not correct it (tested OpenMW wit the file being in the same location as the game's executable is located).

I have PLOX for Linux, placed both files in the same directory as openmw.cfg but it doesn't download the rules and only opens to an empty screen.
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thank you

doesn't work on mac. I've tried placing it with the original exe needed for morrowind openmw and the actual binaries located in the package, plox gui says no game detected.

For you or anyone else having this problem check plox.log in your morrowind folder. You may have to enable logging in the settings. For me the issue was that I had VFWE_merged_objects_fix.esp enabled, which created a cycle with merged objects.esp. Hope this helps someone.

If anybody could help, this thing doesn't work. I've used the GUI and the command prompt. Using the GUI I addressed all its issues which was helpful, but when I click 'Accept' it doesn't do anything.

The GUI just closes, nothing gets sorted and that's it, I mean are we supposed to do anything else? It's in my OpenMW.exe folder, it recognizes all my mods. The console command prompt is same exact way, I tell it to 'sort' and it just closes the prompt. Really wish there was some actual instructions then just 'launch and sort mods' because nobody makes any videos on this and can't find any information anywhere else.

I was having this issue but the fix for me was to run plox_gui as administrator. Depending on where your OpenMW is saved it might not have permissions to sort or edit anything without that.

I’m currently getting the same message.  Wasn’t getting it 24 hours ago. Did you ever figure out what it was or how to fix it?  Thanks!
