Why do npcs smell you. I don't know, but boy do I hate it. So I deleted all the sniffs with creation kit. It's my first time modding anything, but it's a really simple change so there SHOULDN'T be anything broken by it. You can do it yourself of course, but now you don't have to.
This will not affect mods that add npcs of new races. Currently there is an optional tamriel_date file that removes the sniffs from those new races, although you will need a mod like tamriel rebuilt that adds npcs of the new race for it to actually matter. Feel free to link any other race adding mods in the comments, if they sniff I will delete it with prejudice.
