The original release of 1.2 had a bugged bag that wouldn't hold anything. This is FIXED but I didn't change the version number because it was so minor. If you had this issue download the mod again - the current version should be fine.
VERSION 1.2:
Version 1.2 greatly improves upon the original, with more storage and adjusted weight limits in all containers (20000 to be exact. As far as I'm aware this won't break anything? These are new custom containers, I didn't edit the parameters of existing ones.) It also has a little more world-building involved, as the house is locked. The key is in Caius' house on top of a note on his table.
VERSION 1.1:
Version 1.0 and 1.1 are completely identical except version 1.1 now properly installs when downloaded with a mod manager.
POTENTIAL PLANNED CHANGES:
-Maybe a basement? We'll see. If I get back to this I'll definitely figure out the storage size situation first, but if I figure that out I might add a basement for even more storage room.
- I'm not sure if NPCs can move around in the house. I don't understand navmeshes or anything like that, but if I learn more about that it'll be included in an update. Naturally the player can move around just fine so I haven't had issues with personal use.
INSTALLATION:
- This mod is just an .ESP file using standard Morrowind assets. As far as I am aware Bloodmoon and Tribunal aren't required as while making the house I didn't have their master files enabled in the construction set.
-To install the mod with a mod manager download the latest version with the "mod manager download" button and your mod manager should take care of the rest. You could also download it manually and install with a mod manager. For MO2 click "File" then "Install mod" then select the mod. On Vortex you can drag the file to the "Drop File(s)" tab at the bottom of the mods page in the manager.
-To install it manually without a mod manager unzip the downloaded file with 7zip or some equivalent program and drag the .ESP into your "Data Files" folder and enable it in your launcher.
-To uninstall just delete the mod via your mod manager or find the "Minimalist Balmora House" .ESP file and delete it. Nothing complicated.
As always with mods make a test save or something before trying this one, just in case.
If you decide you don't like the house for whatever reason don't forget to grab your items before you delete the mod.
DISCLAIMERS:
-THIS IS MY FIRST REAL ATTEMPT AT MODDING OR ANY USE OF THE CONSTRUCTION SET.
- THIS MOD IS ONE I MADE FOR PERSONAL USE, AND I AM NOT AN EXPERIENCED MODDER. I PLAY USING OPENMW AND HAVEN'T ENCOUNTERED ANY ISSUES BUT I CANNOT GUARANTEE YOU WON'T HAVE ANY (I DOUBT THERE WOULD BE ANY PROBLEMS GIVEN HOW SIMPLE THIS IS).
- IN OPENMW CHANGING YOUR "CURRENT CONTENT LIST" CAUSED MY ITEMS IN THE HOUSE TO VANISH WHILE PLAYING WHILE THE HOUSE ITSELF WAS ENABLED, AND LOADING OLDER SAVES HAD THE ITEMS. CHANGING THE "CURRENT CONTENT LIST" BACK TO THE CORRECT ONE FIXED THIS AND EVERYTHING WAS BACK TO NORMAL. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS FUNCTION IN OPENMW SO I STOPPED MESSING WITH IT BUT I'LL LEAVE THIS DISCLAIMER HERE IN CASE YOU DO WHAT I ACCIDENTALLY DID.
