About this mod

Prevents changing the difficulty slider. Three versions available, see below. A bad habit counter e.g for when you find yourself deep in a dungeon with an overwhelming foe and instead of using that super rare scroll or potion you just set the slider to easy to save resources. Also optionally exceeds the difficulty cap.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Three Versions Available. Pick One:

No Difficulty Slider Dynamic Edition: Difficulty starts at HARD (50) and increments +1 every player level up. By the time you reach max level, the difficulty will have hit 125, bypassing the vanilla cap. Nothing you do in-game can change the difficulty. This will help towards making the late game balanced (if you install it in addition to numerous other challenge-focused mods as I have) and the early game less annoyingly brutal.

No Difficulty Slider Dynamic Edition EXTREME: same as above, only starts between HARD and VERY HARD (75) and ends at EXTREME (150) you hit max level.

No Difficulty Slider: difficulty is always set to a constant VERY HARD (100) and cannot be changed.

Can also be installed in the middle of your playthrough. The dynamic version will take whatever level you are into account accordingly.
The slider is still present, but attempting to change it does nothing - it will be set right back as soon as you close the window. The only way to chicken out is to disable the mod (delete the files or disable in your mod manager). This of course requires exiting the game which is not desirable, especially if you have the restrictive game saving mod installed.

Technical info: This is a quick and dirty hack of NullCascade's Dynamic Difficulty mod (you don't need to install that for this to work), so all credit goes to that individual. I don't know Lua, Morrowind Script, nor MWSE and time is precious - I have no interest in making this mod not a hack. Performance-wise, it is the same as having Dynamic Difficulty mod installed, so who gives a ****.

Requirements & Installation:
This mod uses the alpha and thus experimental and not necessarily stable 2.1-branch of MWSE, currently in development. By using this mod, you're basically asking to be a tester! If you encounter any issues please post a report, ideally on the MWSE bug trackerYou can download the latest nightly build from the link below.

This this mod requires Morrowind Graphic Extender (MGE-XE) version 0.10.0. Older versions will not work with MWSE 2.0+! Additionally, it will require the latest nightly build of MWSE 2.1.

To install the mod, extract the archive into your Morrowind installation folder. There is no ESP to activate.
