    Is it possible that you could make the 500g bounty stack on top of the already existing one? As opposed to overwriting it?

      Turns out it is, just change the script from 'setpccrimelevel' to 'modpccrimelevel'

    Hi I am new to modding, I'd like to reimplement this in OpenMW lua, do you know if it's possible to hook up some death event before the game over UI appears? Thanks

      Unfortunately I have 0 experience with lua modding, sorry! I'll definitely look forward to using your lua version if you do figure it out though.

    I adore this mod, idk how i've played this long without some kind of death consequence. Lowering skills in Morrowind is perfect as you will eventually be overleveled if playing a long time on a single save.

      It is great! Although recently, I have found it somewhat conflicts with my playstyle. As in, when I'm out in a dungeon or adventure, I like the challenge of dying and having to make my way back to the dungeon. However outside of dungeoning and adventuring, I often find myself doing 'troll' actions, ie quicksaving to kill a bunch of people and then reloading. With this mod enabled, I first must sit through a lengthy loadscreen to the nearest fort where I serve my sentence before immediately opening the menu to load my previous save, thus making 2 load screens where per my UX desire there should have only been one to get me back to my quicksave state.

      This is probably more of an issue on the part of my old ass PC hardware, but it has left me wanting to implement a popup messagebox on death to ask if you would like to reload a save OR be spawned at the nearest jail to serve your sentence. Having such an option would save me cumulative minutes of my life spent staring at a black loading screen <3

      Will absolutely look into seeing if I can get a pop-up on player death to ask if they wanna resurrect. My scripting knowledge is real limited though so can't make any promises about if I can actually do it lol. My hope is that once OpenMW-lua is more powerful someone else more talented than me will make their own more optimized and fully featured version of this mod.

    What is that font mod that you are using? And why the Sneak skill increased after dying?

      This is the built-in OpenMW true type font in the latest releases with the UI scaling factor set to 2.0 and font size to 18 in the GUI. It's automatically included in the latest nightlies but if you're running an older version of OpenMW it can be installed from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/46854

      As for the sneak skill increase, that's just how the prison system works in the game. If Sneak or Security are selected then they level up instead of down. Added a small note about this under "Possible Issues" on the description.
