Excuse me, how do you manually install a omwaddon?

I tried to just put it in my Data folder and activated in the openMW launcher, like any other mod, and it does NOT work... I really want to try this mod, please.

Well... I'm pretty sure the mod works, at least on OpenMW versions 0.47 and 0.48. Check that you meet the requirements for it to work:

      • Are you using OpenMW?
      • Do you have NOM installed?

If you meet these two requirements, the omwaddon file behaves identically to an .esp file. It installs the same and appears in the launcher the same.

In case the mod is activated and does not work for you:

      • Are you talking to publicans to refill the water?
      • Do you have skins in your inventory when talking to publicans?

I did not know why in the past those mods did not work with my game, but now they work, I just downloaded the latest version available, and FINALLY they work hehehe n_n

But now that we are here, could you tell me if there is a way to know in which place put these mods? I use LOOT to sort my mods, but LOOT doesn't sort the omwaddon archives O.O

And another thing, which kind of mods show up in the "Plugins" tab in the option's menu?

Well, these mods do not have a specific installation location. As I told you before, they are the same as esp files, and some are recommended to be placed at the beginning of the load order, others at the end and others do not matter where they are placed. If you rename the .omwaddon extension to .esp they will continue to work the same and I assume that loot will recognize them, although I would not trust the order in which LOOT will place them in the load order.

Regarding your last question, I haven't used loot in a long time and I don't remember how it works. I think that in the general section it placed the complete mod files, while in the plugins section it divided the mods into different esp, depending on whether the same mod included one or more of these files... but I'm not sure either.

Hi. I have a problem that this is not working for me. I am using OpenMW 0.47 and Mod Organizer 2.51 and NOM 3.0. After downloading, I click install and the content of the data files does not look correct. I'm also using Tamriel Rebuilt 23.10, I don't know if it makes any difference.

Hello. You need to install the mod manually. Honestly, even though I have used Mod Organizer myself and think it's an excellent program, I believe that in OpenMW, not only is it unnecessary to use it, but it can sometimes hinder the installation of many mods.
