At this moment the textures do not seem to work correctly on vanilla morrowind or mge xe, they work perfectly with openmw.
Upload new files! Now textures works on vanilla too.

shame, maybe the .dds needs to be downgraded and filenames checked?

Morrowind Vanilla was not recognizing the texture path correctly. 🤷‍♂️

This is a really cool mod! It's a really good job implementing this in Morrowind :) I much prefer the Oblivion legion style. I just don't feel like the Roman look makes a whole lot of sense in the otherwise very medieval world. And NordwarUA's stuff is always super cool.

A few additions would be nice:

    1. The boots & gloves are kind of huge looking, especially in comparison to the greaves. Especially noticeable when a character is wearing common pants instead of the relevant greaves, boots look a bit clownishly gigantic. The whole armor set would benefit from being redesigned from the ground up to fit the more sleek/slender style of Morrowind armor.

I'm not asking that anyone do that, though, just pointing it out.

    2. The set being that rusty brown color unfortunately causes it to clash with other armor that the game can sometimes pair with someone wearing a piece of legion armor. When a character has what should be a set of shiny steel armor and one of the pieces is much thiccer and brown it looks super out of place.
         a. This also presents a problem with modded armor sets. One example being the completed Duke's Guard armor; the Duke's bodyguard guy is wearing some pieces of legion armor which clashes heavily with the silver armor.
         b. Another example is with armor added by Tamriel Rebuilt. They have their own imperial silver gear, and guards in Old Ebonheart for instance can be wearing a mish-mash of the two. Maybe the most offending example being some of the Temple Guards with their extremely silver masks and legion steel.

Any issues like this would probably be pretty easily solved by a patch to overwrite TR's imperial silver with this version and for instances like the Duke's Guard or Temple Guards, maybe editing the equipment that particular characters have in their inventories (I'm thinking editing them to have this mod's Imperial Silver instead of their Legion Steel).
Again, not asking for anything, just putting it out there; though it would certainly be nice to have. Perhaps I'll try to learn to use the CK to look into this someday..

    3. It would also be nice if some of the other legion armor from NordwarUA could be ported over for the imperial chain set, for instance. I think Morrowind's set is actually fine, but the main issue is just that some Imperial Guards are wearing full legion steel but a chain helm, and the two are noticeably not meant to go together.

    4. This is probably some kind of conflict (though what beats me), but I've had issues with the left pauldron & gauntlet becoming invisible on the inventory paperdoll. Not invisible in 3d though. Truly mysterious...

    5. There is one mesh issue I found, where a very small piece of a female guard's skin texture is poking through the top of the helmet, but it may depend on the exact head chosen? Because I only saw it once.

With all that, I was considering going back to the vanilla armor, but I reverted and man... this oblivion set is just so much better, I can deal with some of the clashing elements.. especially if I never again have to see the hauntingly unsettling blank stare of a legionnaire in the vanilla gallic helmet.

If anyone else has problems getting the helmet to show up, try putting this mod near the bottom of your load order, that fixed it for me. No idea what the conflict was, I don't have any other legion armor modded in... but its very mysterious to me what the game is doing in its load order. Have had some truly baffling experiences with that :p

It would also be nice to have the item_ids. I was trying to replace the one guy's armor and I tried probably 100s of different iterations of "imperial_silver_left_gauntlet" and could not figure it out. No complaints though, I know I could open the CK, I'm just being lazy.

Thank you for the mod :)

I installed everything correctly, but for some reason I get an error about lost textures, and the Body and greaves disappear in the game (There is literally nothing in their place). Could this be related to the fact that I'm using the better bodies body replicator, and if so, how can I fix it?

Here's the log that the game gives me:
Model "Meshes\w\w_al_longsword.nif" tex not found "_ref_35.dds"!

I installed the textures as indicated in the instructions, downloaded them from the link and uploaded the textures folder to the data files folder. The fact is that the armor lying on the ground works as it should, but as soon as I put it on the character, the cuirass and greaves disappear.
      I can't figure out what's going on. :(

May I ask you which body replicer you are using in the screenshots?

Installed this and the medium textures from the original, start a new game, and I'm greeted by a guard whose legs are invisible.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I may have installed the textures incorrectly.

Do you remember how you fixed this? I put the Textures folder into Morrowind Data Files but I also was met with these invisible legs. I also chose the medium textures btw.

It seems like the legs are fixed, though now I'm having the chest invisible on most of them. I find it's not a good sign if a model doesn't appear when you hover over it in Item Browser. IDK if its all of the chests but it is invisible for the Silver cuirass. Also sorry for not replying until now, I completely forgot about this.

I found a couple of shipwrecks but they were just vanilla locations, I spent 30 minutes searching, can someone post a screenshot or two of the location ?

Edit: I just found the name of the ship's cell in MWEdit and coc'd my way in, it's "imperial ship"

Am i understanding this correctly? The shipwreck esp DOES not modify the guard npcs? It just adds the items to the game without console? Ty
